༉˚*ೃ 26. THE DETERMINATION OF HEARTS!

UP IN THE arena stands, the plastic seats were surprisingly comfortable, and the student section that had been allocated for them was unsurprisingly filled with chatter. Each class had a balcony box to themselves—separated from the other classes by a stone divider—with enough seats to be able to spread out as each student pleased.

Funnily enough, though, it had turned out that majority of 1-A had sat on the left side of the booth with no space between, leaving Bakugou on the furthest seat on the right. It did appear that it was done deliberately to stay out of his way. The only one brave enough to sit right down next to him, despite the numerous free seats at their disposal, was Kaminari, smiling cheerily. And, well, Tsubame had sat in front of Kaminari, and Kirishima beside her, Tokoyami at his other side—so the four of them seemed unbothered by Bakugou's grumpy disposition and affinity for blowing things around him up. They all perched on their seats rather happily, Kirishima leaning forward eagerly with his hands on his knees, and Tsubame snacking on some popcorn that someone had snuck in. The rest of the class sat a good four seats away from them, but no one minded.

"So it's Midoriya vs Shinsou-san, huh?" Kirishima asked excitedly. "What's his Quirk?"

Tsubame shrugged and kicked her feet up on the spare seat at her right, bare toes flexing. "No idea. Don't think he's showed it off yet."

Behind her, Kaminari leaned in and commented, "It's gotta be cool. I mean, if Ojiro dropped out because of him." Tsubame made a curious noise of agreement and lifted her popcorn bucket up to him.

"Hey guys, are you ready?!" Present Mic shouted eagerly, and the crowd erupted into cheers. This time, it was 1-A included, from their new vantage points in the stands. It was weird being up here now, looking down at the field where they'd been competing on just a couple of hours before. Tsubame kicked her feet on the chair in a faux-drumroll, in lieu of actual thundersticks. "A lot's happened, but it's now come to this! A serious battle! You can only depend on yourself! Even if you're not a hero, you'll face a lot of situations like that! You get it, right?!" As he yelled, the fighting pitch was being made in the centre of the field by Cementoss. A large, rectangular raised platform of stone to brawl upon. "Heart, skill, body, wisdom, and knowledge! Use all of that to rush up!"

Tsubame cheered, "Come on, Midoriya-chan!" even though he wasn't even on the field yet, and Bakugou made a miffed sound behind her. "Yeah!"
