𝖄𝖔𝖚 𝕯𝖗𝖎𝖛𝖊 𝕸𝖊 𝕴𝖓𝖘𝖆𝖓𝖊/ 𝐉𝐉 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤

Moving Day

  Lorelai Renee Andrews. My mother. She's all I could think about as I walked into the ginormous house which I was to call mine now. There were pictures of my mom lined up all along the walls, which my dad had the movers put up already. Some with my whole family, some with just my parents and some with just me, Stiles and my mom. There was only 1 with my dad, me and Stiles, which was taken during Spring break this year only a month after my mom had passed, making us not the happiest during the picture. I'm not sure why  my dad would put it up, maybe because he wanted to try to get us used to the idea of not having my mom around for pictures anymore. I haven't asked because it was pretty hard on my dad, so I don't like to push him or ask questions that might make him feel guilty.
 
 
  I decided to get my mom out of my mind for the time being, so I went up the stairs and took a left down the long hall until I finally reached my room. I'd never been inside so I was kinda nervous to see what it looked like. I open the door cautiously and walk in slowly. The second I see it I know exactly what to do with it. It's almost like a gift, I'm just really good at decorating, especially with tiktok by my side for inspo. 

  I look over toward where my window is and realise that Sarah's window is right across from mine, meaning we can talk whenever we want even late at night. This is gonna be so much fun! I decide to call Sarah to ask for her help with decorating my room because otherwise I'd just procrastinate and also I have nothing else to do right now.

  "hey Sarah, wanna come over and help me set up my room until we have to go meet the guys and Kie?" I said into the phone.

  "Yeah sure, have any decorations we can use?"

  "Yeah I do, come over and I'll show you."

  "K, I'll be over in literally 2 minutes." she proceeds to say as she hangs up the phone.

  I think I hear something and look out my window to see Sarah grabbing a ladder and bringing it to my window. I realise what she's doing and laugh to myself about her funny yet slightly dangerous antics. She gets to the top of the ladder and climbs through my window, only to slightly slip and almost fall down 10 feet. I grab her quickly and pull her through the window and we both fall on the ground laughing like we're psychos. See?! Dangerous!

  "Omg Kaylie, I missed you so much! I can't believe it's been almost a year since we last saw each other! I'm so sorry about your mom, she was the nicest person ever." she rambles quickly as she pulls me in for a long hug, but I don't really mind because I haven't seen her in forever and I missed her a lot.

"I missed you too! Don't worry about it, it's been 4 months and everything's getting better, you know slowly but surely haha. Anyway let's get started, so this is what I was thinking..."

  About 30 minutes later I was asking Sarah a question but she isn't paying attention. I look over to what she's looking at and see Rafe being straddled by a girl i don't recognize and they're making out. I look at Sarah and clap in her face a couple times to catch her attention. She finally looks at me completely oblivious as to why I'm looking at her weirdly and I decide to question why she's looking at her brother and a girl making out in her house in her brothers room which she can see due to her bedroom door and his both being open. The girl saw us staring and got up weirdly nonchalantly and closed the door. Maybe she knew Sarah already and was calm due to that?

  "Sarah... why were you staring at your brother and that girl making out for like 10 minutes..?" I asked, wanting an answer that was not nearly as pervy as all the answers going through my brain in a jumble right now.

  "It's because that's my brother's new girlfriend, Madison Routledge.."

  "Wait a minute, Routledge? As in John B? The one I'm meeting today?" I ask her in a rush while interrupting her accidentally.

  "Yes, that Routledge. Anyway she's studying to be a teacher and I love her with my whole heart but sadly she never has any time to hang out cause she always spends her freetime with Rafe or her family and never has time for me anymore:(" she said in a sad tone. This was obviously a slightly sensitive subject so I wasn't gonna push anymore.

  "Well why don't you invite Madison to the meet up with Kie and the boys later?" I ask. Not only would it be nice not to be the only new one but I also genuinely wanted to meet her.

  "Ok, yeah sure I'll text her to meet us outside in 5." Sarah says as she gets up from the beanbag she's been sitting on for the last hour and stretches her arms and legs as we walk out of my room and down the stairs to meet up with Madison and go see Kie and the boys.
