Brooks and Florence were yelling so loud, Mabel thought the whole village could hear them. Sadly enough, it was the third time that week they had gone into a yelling match. Before this summer, they rarely fought.

"What are they yelling about now?" Hannah approached Mabel. Mabel sat at the top of their stairs, eavesdropping on her parents.

"Same thing as last time," She shrugged. Hannah sat beside her.

"How could Dumbledore be so stupid?! He hired that monster and ruined our little girl!" Their father yelled. They always fought about Mabel. It irked her.

"Brooks!" Their mother gasped.

Mabel stood up.

"Where are you going?" Hannah asked.

Mabel ignored her and left. Hannah rolled her eyes and continued to listen to her parents.

"They can't prevent her from living, can they?" Florence asked.

"Of course, they can! According to them, they're all dangerous!"

"All of them?"

"Yes, all of them. Werewolves are violent, disgusting monsters."

"My daughter is not a monster, Brooks!"

"I know that!" Upon realising his tone, he exhaled. He pitched the bridge of his nose. "I know that, love. I know. Everyone but Mabel."

Mabel brushed past Hannah with a book in her hand.

"You're going to make things worse," Hannah warned.

"Good."

Mabel stomped downstairs. Her parents didn't notice as they were focused on each other and the heated discussion. Mabel rolled her eyes and dropped the book on the coffee table, making a loud noise. The two adults turned to the eldest daughter.

"Now that I have your attention. Do you even hear what you're saying?" Mabel asked.

"Mabel—"

"'They're all monsters except for me?' How is that fair? Cause either I'm also a monster, or not all of them are one. Choose which one it is, Dad."

Mr. Abbott's mouth bobbed like a fish.

"Exactly. I understand this new thing is scary; trust me, I know. But you two are only yelling at each other because both of you are very uneducated. So, I brought down a book for you two to read. Then you guys can argue whenever you like, but at least you'll be educated on the topic." Mabel picked up the book and handed it to her dad. She headed back upstairs but paused on the third step. "By the way, Professor Lupin was the best Defence teacher we've had and the kindest professor I've met. So, please don't say he's a monster. Cause he's not."
