The field trip 1/2

Y/n  POV:
We were walking down the street of Beijing and talking about the ice cream and the field trip we were about to go on "the ice cream is amazing I don't know what they do here but it's so good"  mom says with ice cream in her mouth. We gave mom the permission slip for a field trip we were gonna take to the forbidden city I was kind of excited to see such a big ass city and I don't know why, I saw mom and Dre bickering on what mom sounds and moves like but for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about cheng I saw him yesterday at my practice and since he's been on my mind all the time. Then all of a sudden we started running I didn't know why but I followed then I realized where we were going I saw the sign a kung fu dojo we walked through the gates and there were so many kids dressed in red moving in sync it was amazing. I saw Dre walking somewhere else and I decided to follow him "where you goin?" I asked "I think there is this place where even better people practice kung fu and I wanna find it". Soon enough we found it and we opened the door to take a look around and we saw these guys dressed in a black uniform and the teacher. He looks like a bird with that hair. I thought, "what do we learn here!?" The teacher asked "no weakness! No pain! No mercy!" The class replied "what do we learn here!?" He asked even louder "no weakness! No pain! No mercy!" The class responded even louder. I frown at that, "let's begin!" He said as they bowed I immediately saw someone familiar. Cheng he saw us, I smiled a bit while he smirked at Dre then they moved in sync with each other cheng locked eyes with me and we didn't do anything but looked at each other then that's when I felt my stomach flutter he smiled at me. I got shy and looked away, Dre had enough with looking at cheng and he walked out before I left I look at him he's looking straight at me too I smile a bit I waved goodbye then I ran to see mom playing with little kids and they were touching her hair.

I smiled while watching her, me and mom have a nice bond but Dre and her have an even better one sometimes it hurts but sometimes I'm glad. "Let's go mom" he said while walking out "but we just got here-" she said while walking and waving i trailed behind them. They didn't seem to notice that I wasn't next to them, they were talking about what happened in the dojo since he left so quickly. I kind of wanted to stay longer just to see cheng- NO WAY I JUST THOUGHT THAT . I made a face at my thoughts people might have thought I was crazy but then again i won't see them again.

We were halfway home and they still hadn't talked to me. Do they really not care? I wondered why I was left out what made me so different? We were literally at the door to our home when they noticed I wasn't next to them, but right behind them "wait where's y/n?" Mom asked worriedly "I'm right behind you guys" I yelled a bit "oh thank goodness" she sighed "took you long enough to notice" i said with no expression i walk past them and go inside "y/n wait" mom said, I acted as if I didn't hear her I go to my room and close my door. Mom knocked on my door and came in "hey can we talk?" She asked, she sat down on my bed with me and she started "what is up with you lately? You've been getting mad for no reason" she said "what?" I wasn't expecting that "what do you mean? This is the only time I've been mad and it's because I wasn't talked to at all hah scratch that i wasn't even noticed you realized I wasn't next to you guys when we literally in front of the door" I argue "but it's not the end of the world if I'm talking to your brother and not you" she argued back "it's always, what happened Dre? What's wrong Dre? Dre this Dre that all the time, yesterday I walked to practice because you fell asleep but I bet if that was Dre you would have been there for sure" i said "come on y/n you know that's not true" mom said holding my hand "yes it is and you know it" I pulled my hands away. She hugged me, she rarely does that I hesitantly hugged back "I'm sorry" she apologized and she did sound sorry "it's okay Dre needs you the most" we pulled away and she left. I went to brush my teeth and then fell asleep. The next morning was the field trip I picked out an outfit for it unaware we had to wear a uniform
