Chengs pov:
She's just so... ugh I love her so much she's literally driving me insane. Meeting her mom today had me so nervous even though I didn't show it. My palms were all sweaty and I couldn't stop fidgeting with my fingers, all sorts of thoughts raced through my mind. What if she doesn't like me? What if she thinks I'm not good enough for her? What if she thinks I'm mean. All of it was stressing me out as I was walking to her classroom. As she was walking out the door all of my stress disappeared as if it was never there to begin with. That's how much of an effect this girl has on me, I am so grateful for my girlfriend. She helps me through so much.

I walk up behind her and I cover her eyes just to tease her. Even though we're dating her touch still gives me butterflies. "Damn it cheng" her laugh was mesmerizing. "Hey" I smile at her "hello" she smiled back. That's one of my favorite things about her.. her smile..I couldn't hold it in any longer so I just brought her close to me in a warm hug.

(Cheng meets sherry)

While Y/n was at practice I was watching her as I waited for her mom to arrive. After what seemed about like 5 minutes a lady arrived. "Excuse me" i say a bit nervous. "Yes? Oh are you cheng?" She asks me. "Yes ma'am" I smile. "I'm sherry y/n's mom Oh you're so handsome" she says putting somethings in her purse. "Thank you" I thanked her. "So I just wanted to meet you because my daughter talks so much about you, she's always smiling when she comes back from somewhere and I truly believe that you're with her dropping her off huh?" She looked at me straight in the eyes. "Yes ma'am I drop y/n off because I just dislike seeing her walk alone late something could happen and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself, your daughter is such an amazing woman i don't know why she likes me but I'm so happy with her I like her because she's not afraid to say what's on her mind, most girls here are pretty shy and just follow other people y/n doesn't try to impress anyone. She's a very independent person and I love her so much. She's the person I look for everywhere. She's just simply everything to me. So I'm asking if it's okay if we continue to date?" I just poured my heart out for this girl. I look at sherry to see her speechless. "I have never once met a guy that talks this proudly about my daughter and I can tell by how her mood is changing, she smiles more, she laughs more, she's just changing into so much of a happier person. And I know that it's all coming because of you, so it's okay by me if you too continue to go out, you seem like such a sweet guy and if that's what she wants then I'm more than happy to support you guys" she smiles at the last part. Is that true? is she smiling more and laughing more because of me? I really hope I make her happy she's my first girlfriend so I'm really hoping I don't mess things up with her. I smile at sherry. "Thank you ma'am I promise to take care of your daughter, I will never let anything bad happen to her." I assured her. "Then that's all I needed to hear" she smiled "I have to go check on Dre her brother he's still at home" she said walking backwards "okay drive safely" I wave at her.

"I fucking nailed that" i Mumbled to myself as I stood up straight. I continue to watch y/n.

(TIMESKIP👩🏽‍💻)

After her practice was over she started walking up to me. She was sort of frowning but I guess it's because her mom's not here. Her frown disappeared out of nowhere. "How'd it go?" She asked me as she was taking her hair down. It fell so nicely. "Good, your mom loves me, maybe more than she loves you" I jokingly said in return she lightly elbows me in the stomach. We laugh it off and started walking around.

I like it when we have these moments where it's just us, no one else. Just me and my girlfriend in a comfortable silence. But I've been wanting to ask her something all day but I've just been too nervous. I mustered up all the courage in me and stopped walking. She didn't realize until we were a few feet away from each other she turned around with a confused face. "Go to the Qixi festival with me" I said sternly but I don't think she heard me. "What?" She simply looked confused. "Go to the Qixi festival with me" I said a bit louder but looking away from her. "No" is all I heard and my heart sunk to my stomach. "What!?" I run up to her and grabbed her wrist to make her turn to me. And of course when she turns around she has that childish grin on her face "just kidding". I scoff and turn my back to face her. "I was kidding!" She says grabbing my sleeve to my sweater. "Whats that one phrase you say a lot?" I asked trying to wrap my finger around it. "Oh don't care" I say as I turn around again and started walking away. "It's only funny when I do it" she pushed me. I turned around to see her walking away.
