Taking a shallow breath, a sharp pain quickly emerges down my back, forcing me to stiffen and twitch awake. Feeling this light sting from my eyes as I blinked past this bright mask over the room, the sound of metal echoed in my head. Loud and obnoxious, I took in another breath as the pain had subsided but the pull of my wrist had caught my attention.
"Savannah..." I heard Derek mumble.
"What's going on?"
Pulling harder at my wrist, the metal clanked again in a much sharper tone as my eyesight could finally see Derek's body standing beside me.
"Don't pull, you'll keep bleeding." He said again.
"...bleed? Bleed from where?"
Twisting my arm, a long trail of blood traveled down my forearm, dripping off the tip of my elbow and onto the floor.
"What the hell?" I gasped, staring at the two-foot drop from where my feet stood above a metal bar.
"...where are we?"
"I don't know...I've been trying to figure it out," Derek mumbled.
Gazing up from the floor, my eyes were drawn to the shackles on his wrist, dangling his arms above his head. Shirtless and drenched in what looked like water, there was a white gauze pad attached to him along with several black wires hooked up to a generator across the room.
"Wh-where is she?" I sighed.
Quickly looking down the front side of my body, I stared at my chest covered in sweat and dirt. Piled off to the side, laid my sweater and shirt and Derek's clothes on the opposite table.
"She left a few hours ago...are your head okay?"
"...yeah. How long have we been here?"
"A couple of hours...I think." He mumbled.
Tugging at the shackle, I winced in pain again at the loud sound vibrating in my head.
"...where's Peter? Did you find him?"
Piercing his lips, Derek's eyes rolled back over to the large metal door, fixing the position of his shackles.
"He was gone by the time I went back."
"I'm sorry, Derek. That you had to find out that-"
"It's doesn't matter anymore...I'll find him." He whispered.
"...he'll be long gone before we-"
"He's not leaving without Scott."
Watching the anger eat at Derek as we stood there in silence, I took a quick glance around the room. It was bare and abandoned with nothing but fence wiring, a metal table, and the generator on the other side. Behind me stood a single window, covered in webs and water stains preventing someone from looking inside.
"...I know this place," I mumbled.
"It's just a random room."
"No, it's not...it's a bunker, leading directly to your house through the tunnels."
"...what?" He gasped.
"I was here during my first full moon...your dad tied me up to the wall and locked the door behind him."
"How come I didn't know about this?"
"I wasn't allowed to be near you or the kids, remember..."
"So you know how to get out?" He mumbled.
"...yeah but...I doubt Kate has kept things the same."
'I haven't.' A voice yelled out, coming from behind the metal door.
