Bucky and Emily make their way up to their rooms, laughing quietly trying not to wake up the others. As they both get to their bedroom doors, they talk quietly to each other for a few moments longer and smile at one another.
"Thanks for staying with me for that long, I didn't realise how long that was going to take." She says with a smile leaning against her door.
"No problem. Have a good night.. Doll.." He says with a tilt of his head as if tipping a hat over. She giggles a bit and responds back with a good night and a curtsey. He closes his door and she opens hers and gets inside getting ready to go to sleep.
The sun rises, birds chirping, the sky is a solid blue with rays of purple and pink gliding over parts of the sky, clouds slowly drifting into view. Emily wakes up as she makes her way to the window seat and looks out. She looks back at her alarm clock as it reads six in the morning. She didn't get much sleep because of her first night in her new room. She decides to go for a run around the compound, something that would help her calm down when she was younger. As she begins her run, listening to the water hitting the edge of the hill that the compound was on.
"Hey, I didn't know that you were going to be running," Steve starts as he catches up with her and runs alongside her.
"You didn't ask Cap." She says looking to her left.
"Yes, you're right, my bad." He states as they stay quiet running with each other in sync. "Look, about yesterday, I'm sorry for being so rude. You're new, and I'm suspicious, I don't trust you, but that doesn't mean I don't like you."
"Well, I guess it's okay, I forgive you. Maybe I don't trust you either but you don't seem that bad."
"Well then, come on, let's go back inside." He states and starts to run faster. She catches on and begins to run faster herself, making it a race to get back inside, even on their timing but Steve beats her by seconds.
As the two enter back into the compound seeing everyone awake and in the dining hall. "Good morning everyone," Emily waves as they all look a little shocked to see the two of them together.
"Hey, where have you been?" Wanda chirps up first as she hands the two of them their plates for breakfast.
"Running," Emily shoots back with as she sits down.
"So, you run too?" Tony asks as he takes a bite of his food.
"Yep,"
"Look Cap, you made a new friend!"
They all chuckle and talk with each other before heading down stairs to the training room for nine in the morning.
"So, Emily, show us what you got, go on Buck." Cap says as Emily and Bucky make their way to the middle of the training hall, both staring each other down, smirks on their faces. Soon the two begin to fight.
Bucky throws some amazing punches, and Emily is quick to block them, as he goes for another punch she grabs his fist and twists it slightly looking at Buck with a smirk, he keeps his face cold and stares back. The two are going all out on each other, perfectly fighting each other in sync, the fight, even. Emily flips Buck over and his face scowls. She looks over to him, almost frightened.
"Shit..." Emily says as he goes for another punch harder this time. She flips again on the other side of him and kicks him to fall down the stairs painfully. "You okay?"
"Yep." Bucky says, a little pain evident in his voice.
