Hunter, Nicole, and I walk around the beach, talking about our plans for the summer and what we want to do over the summer before we go off to college. Nicole looks out around the beach, looking at people and smiling at them as she notice them looking back at her. "Hey, I'll be right back." She says to us as she picks up her pace and walks over to a guy who has curly brown hair with gorgeous blue eyes, which can automatically light up someone's day just by looking at him. Hunter and I watch them, wondering what's going on over there. The reaches his hand out and shakes Nicole's hand while smiling at her. Hunter shakes his head in amusement, laughing and then looking over at me. I stare at him in compassion while he puts his right arm around my shoulders. He gives me a quick peck on the cheek before looking back over at the guy and Nicole. The guy was writing something on her hand and then he walks away afterwards. Nicole looks back at us, noticing we saw what just happened. She smiles and walks back over to us.
I think it's good that Nicole found someone she likes so that she wouldn't feel so lonely anymore when we don't hang out or when she's with Hunter and I. Nicole's a really nice person, she's beautiful, and super smart, she deserves to have someone there for her like Hunter is for me. In my opinion, I think everybody deserves someone like Hunter. Nicole deserves the absolute best so maybe the right guy just hasn't came yet.
We walk pass the guy who gave Nicole his number and watch as she smiles at him in adoration. I look her at Hunter and shake my head. He laughs and does the same thing. We walking through the whole beach, looking at the people around us and noticing everything that's spectacular here. I notice that there's a bunch of people here that are around our age and who probably go to some school around us.
After we finished walking around on the beach, we decided to go back to my house and watch a movie. We decided to watch If I Stay, which is also a book, by Gayle Forman. Mia Hall was one of the main characters in the film and she had to make a huge decision to either go to her dream school or go in the path which follows staying with the love of her life, Adam. Everything suddenly changes when she goes with her family on road trip, which gets them involved with a car accident. Her immediate family all passes away because of the car accident and she's left with the decision to either die or to stay alive for the people who also love her.
Once the film finishes, we all have tears streaming down our faces. The ending was so emotional that even Hunter was crying. Mia decided to stay alive. It was such an memorizing moment for not just us but for everyone who has ever watched this movie. I think everybody should make time in their live to watch this movie because it sends out a great message throughout the whole movie.
"Are you feeling any better?" Nicole asks me when it's finally silent in my room. I look over at her and see her frown.
"Not really," I say, looking down and turning away from her. "I kinda feel even worse."
"Oh," Hunter looks between us and thinks of something to say but stays quiet. "Aria, please, we need you to stay strong and keep fighting. We both hate seeing you like this."
Hunter looks up and nods his head before saying, "Please eat, Aria. I'm begging you."
I shake my head and get off of my bed and walk out of my room. I walk into the bathroom and sit down on the floor, more tears slipping down my face, making my makeup smear. I thought one of them or both of them would come after me and make sure I was okay but after being in there for three hours, no one came and I was left there alone.
I guss they just don't care.
