The Fiances

Chapter: 9

Sometimes Technoblade wonders how he gets himself into these types of situations. But then he remembers that he lives with a literal baby and two gods that act like literal children.

Wilbur and Phil thought it would be a great idea for them to have a family costume despite Techno's multiple protests. After a few days of arguing Phil and Wilbur decided that they should dress up as characters from the 'Wizard of Oz. Techno was the lion, Wilbur was the Tin Man, Phil was the Scarecrow, and Tommy was Dorothy.

Even though Tommy did look adorable in his checkered blue and white overalls and the bright red glittery shoes the gods bought him Techno was not happy with the fact he had to dress up like a lion. And it wasn't like he was a normal lion he was a cowardly lion which was a huge blow at his self-esteem. But fine he could live with having to dress up as a lion as long as no one saw him right? Wrong. Wilbur and Phil somehow miraculously became busy as soon as it was time to take Tommy Trick or Treating. So that's how Techno found himself dressed up as the lion from the Wizard of Oz carrying Tommy from house to house asking strangers for candy after walking almost an hour to get to a nearby village. Because of course they just had to live in the middle of nowhere.

Techno quickly collected the last bit of dignity he had left and went up to the first house of the night. It was a small pale blue house that blended in perfectly with the others that were lined next to it. He gently knocked on the white door of the house silently hoping no one would answer. But of course, fate was not on his side because as soon as his fist hit the door it swung open. In the doorway stood the absolute least person Techno wanted to see at the moment, Quackity.

The god of mischief, gambling, and rubber ducks himself stood in shock holding a bucket full of candy (that wasn't even king size) as he took in the sight of the mighty Technoblade. They stood in silence for a few seconds before Quackity started breaking down laughing at the sight.

"Haha laugh it up," Technoblade said sarcastically as Tommy now also started to giggle, traitor.

"What are you wearing?" Quackity wheezed dropping the bucket of candy he was holding before causing all of the contents to spill onto the God's porch

Techno sighed looking down at Tommy and then back to Quackity, "Just give us the candy and we'll leave,"

"No need to be so threatening," the god joked before Tommy finally caught his attention, "Who's the kid?"

"Oh yea, this is Tommy I found him in the woods a few months ago and we have been roommates ever since," Tommy in response to being addressed stuck out his tongue before once again losing interest  

"You what?" Quackity questioned before deciding he didn't really care, "You know what never mind just take the candy," The god said gesturing to the pile of spilled candy on the floor

Just as Techno reached down to take all of the candy two figures sprinted to the door behind Quackity. The taller of the two was a guy with curly light brown hair and eyes. He wore a spiral hoodie, various watches of all different styles and colors, and goggles on top of his head. The other was slightly shorter but still taller than Quackity. He had black hair that was pulled back with a white bandana and was dressed up as a vampire (he was also the only one out of the trio that seemed to have dressed up).

The taller one looked excitedly between Quackity and Tommy before finally breaking the awkward silence their grand entrance had caused, "Why didn't you tell us that the trick or treaters started to come out!"

"Sorry, Karl I kinda got a little bit distracted," The God quickly shot Techno a glance before continuing, "Techno these are my fiance's Karl and Sapnap," Quackity gestured towards Sapnap and Karl before turning back to his fiancee's, "This is Technoblade he's... an old friend of mine and the baby is Tommy,"

"Omg, he's so honking adorable!" Karl exclaimed moving closer towards them, "Is it ok if I hold him?"

The question of innocent enough but Techno was less than willing to give up Tommy. But seeing the gleam of pure joy and excitement in Karls's eyes made it difficult for him to say anything. Techno looked towards Tommy for help but quickly gave up hope when he saw the baby was making grabby hands towards Karl. Techno stared at the child with a look of betrayal but when the child started to giggle at his pain he quickly handed the gremlin off to Karl.

Karl immediately took the child in his arms as Sapnap started making weird faces over Karl's shoulder. Quackity laughed at the two, fondness evident in his face as Tommy giggled at the two strangers. His laugh was light, challenging even the sun. Sometimes it was hard to believe that Tommy wasn't carved from the sun herself with his golden blonde hair and eyes that match the sky on a sunny day. It was hard to accept he was mortal when the boy simply smiled.

There wasn't anything he could do about it Tommy was mortal and that is that. All he can do is be a part of Tommy's life as much as he can and remember moments like these. Techno after seeing the fiance's we're busy giving their undivided attention to Tommy he started to take all of their candy from the floor (might as well take it all so he doesn't have to go to any more houses).

After Techno finished picking up all of the pieces of the candy from the floor he wiped off his pants and turned back to the fiances, "I think it's about time Tommy and I start heading home it's getting close to his bedtime,"

"Oh well if you ever need someone to watch Tommy let us know!" Karl said handing Tommy back over to the God

"Bye Tommy!" Sapnap said as he ruffled the kid's curly hair

Just like that Tommy and Techno left down the never-ending trial that awaited them.
