Hosie-Rock the Boat

Chapter 4

Hope pinks and glares at Lizzie while Josie's eyes go wide and a light blush covers her cheeks as well.

The shuttle stops and Alaric stands. "Alright guys let's get on that boat!" He says excitedly.

Lizzie shrugs,"Oh well, come on guys." She says and stands.

Josie nervously chuckles and scratches the back of her head. Hope stands and hands Josie her bag, trying to ignore the now awkward energy.

Josie grabs it and stands."Thank you." She says gratefully. She follows Lizzie and Hope follows behind her.

'I'm so going to kill Lizzie later.'  Hope thinks as she walks outside.

Alaric rented a van and everyone squeezed in, the drive was only ten minutes but it felt longer for Hope.

Every two minutes Lizzie would punch her every-time she saw a certain type of car.

Alaric parks the van and sighs."We're here." He says and gets out.

Everyone piles out of the car. "Finally I can move my legs." Mg says stretching.

"Come on dude it wasn't that bad." Kaleb says.

"That is because you got to sit in the front." Jed scoffs.

Kaleb laughs,"You're right."

"That is huge." Landon says referring to the boat they are going to board.

Everyone gasps and look at what he's looking at. "That's not what she said to you." Lizzie snarks. She just couldn't help herself.

Mg and Jed snicker while Landon glares at her. "Oh shut up Lizzie."

"Don't be mad at me. I mean we can ask her." Lizzie says looking at Hope. Everyone then turns their attention towards Hope. The auburnettes eyes widen and she feels uneasy with all eyes on her.

"Come on. We don't want the boat to leave us." Alaric says putting on his shades.

Josie huffs and grabs Hope's hand, she pulls her ahead until they get close to her father who is walking over to the boarding station.

"Are you okay Hope?" Josie asks.

"Yeah I'm good." She chuckles.

"I don't know why Lizzie said that." Josie says not understanding her sister's ability to put people on the spot.

"Wellll she wasn't technically lying." Hope shrugs as they continue to walk.

"Oh." Josie raises her eyebrows in surprise. She didn't think Hope would mind Lizzie saying something like that.

Hope chuckles."Don't worry about it. He's in the past I'm focusing on the present." She looks down and sees Josie is still holding her hand. She blushes and doesn't say anything. Her hand is so soft and she doesn't know when she'll ever get this opportunity again.

Josie nods and continues walking trying to catch up to her dad. Once they get to the ticket area he checks behind him to see everyone else finally catching up.

"Your tickets sir?" The worker asks.

He smiles and hands him all ten of the tickets happily. The man takes it and  gives him the room keys and guest cards to get into activities.

They walk up onto the boat and they stare in awe at how many pools the ship has and how big it actually is.

"Wow I should get married on a cruise." Lizzie says, she takes out her camera and snaps some photos.

"Like someone would marry you." Landon mumbles.

"What was that bird brain?" Lizzie asks. Snapping her head in his direction.
