Landon walks into the elevator, picking at his plate of food, he presses his room floor number waiting on the doors to close.

The doors begin to close but right before it does, a hand stops it.

Landon looks up confused, especially when the doors push open and he sees a brunette.

Josie walks in and stands next to him quietly.

He clears his throat awkwardly before he starts rubbing his neck with his free hand. "Hi jo."

Josie uses the best fake smile she can come up with and turns to face him. "Hi Landon."

"So uh how's it going?" He asks.

'Wouldn't you like to know.'

"Everything's great." She replies as she stares at him intently.

They sit there in silence for another second or so before she adds,"It would be better if you didn't do what you did." Her tone sarcastic as she speaks tauntingly. She looks at the elevator buttons.

He starts to fiddle with his plate, looking at the elevator doors to avoid eye contact with the brunette. "I uh don't know what you're talking about."

Josie hums before her eyes shoot in his direction. "Interesting." She replies as she watches his fingers tap the underside of the plate he holds. "You know lying isn't your best strong suit Landon."

He shifts his weight from one foot to another before looking at the elevator buttons to see when his floor is approaching.

"What did you say to Hope that night at the party?" She asks.

"I don't remember, it was almost a week ago." He tries to say dismissively.

She narrows her eyes but she does her best to keep a straight face."You don't remember basically accusing my girlfriend of cheating?"

He chuckles nervously,"I didn't accuse her."

"I thought you didn't remember what you said to her?" She says quirking an eyebrow knowingly.

His eyes widen in realization. "I thought you guys weren't together anymore." He says trying to change the subject quickly.

"Now where would you get that idea from?" She asks.

He shifts on his feet uncomfortably,"I just assumed."

"That's a crazy assumption. Why would you assume something like that? Did something happen for you to believe that or did someone tell you?"

He sighs,"No it's nothing like that, I just assumed." He repeats.

Josie rolls her eyes at his response. "This will go a lot easier if you tell the truth Landon."

He scoffs, "Are you calling me a liar?"

She chuckles,"No, should I be?"

"You can't answer a question with a question."

"I just did."

He purses his lips before looking at the floor buttons again."Why is this elevator taking so long." He mutters to himself.

"The elevator stopped three minutes ago." She sighs.

He turns to her in disbelief. "What?"

"I told you it would go easier if you told the truth." She says in a sing song voice.

"You can't keep me here and force me to answer your questions." He says as he starts getting upset.

Josie gives him a fake pout."Your right, I can't." She hits the elevator door button letting the doors open. She lets a smile make its way to her face. "But she can." She says looking at her girlfriend waiting outside the doors.
