Tears rushed down Jarod's face as he placed the girl he cared so much about onto a stretcher.

"You're going to be alright Anne! Just stay with me!" She was quickly losing consciousness and her eyelids began to droop.

"Sir you have to stay here," the paramedic informed him.

"I AM SURE AS HELL NOT GOING TO JUST STAY HERE WHILE SHE IS IN THAT STATE! Not again. Never again." The man hesitated a few seconds before stepping aside and letting him on. Jarod was once again by her side and clutched her hand as if his life depended on it.

"Stay with me Anne. I'm right here. Please Anne. Please." Her vitals were unsteady, dropping low and spiking high.

"We're almost there Anne. Please." He used his other hand to brush the hair out of her face. She shakily took off her oxygen mask.

"No Anne you need that." Jarod tried to put it back on, but she stopped him.

"Hey love. Can you tell everyone I said bye?"

        "Anne..."

"Tell Ms. Jansen I said sorry I got blood on her papers." Trying to chuckle, she started to wheeze instead. Jarod attempted to put the mask back on, but she held his hand as tight as she could.

"Jarod. You know that I love you so much right?"

"Anne... We're almost there..." His voice was weak and pleading.

"Shhh... Let me finish. I don't know if I'll make it there. I fell for you the moment I saw you. I just want you to know that I'll always love you," she tried to remain strong, but her voice betrayed her, "no matter what happens. If I go, I want you to move on with your life. Don't feel guilty."

"An-" She touched her finger to his lips.

"I just wished we could have kissed just once. I-I..." The monitor showed a flat line.

"Anne!" He kept screaming her name over and over. Weeping, he gripped her hand tighter.

"Anne! Wake up!" The paramedics touched his shoulder, but he pushed them away. He wailed and screamed, enveloping her in a tight embrace. He nuzzled his face into her hair and called to her again and again. Everyone could only watch in despair as the scene unfolded and felt their hearts break at the sight of the boy. Her blood stained his hands and clothes and he cried harder.

"Anne! Don't leave me... I-I love you..." A very faint beep was heard.

"Anne?" Slowly, the monitor came to life.

"Her vitals are returning to normal!" announced one of the interns, astonished.

"Anne?" he called to her. Who is that? Why is it so bright? Anne's eyes slid open slightly, just enough to make out three figures hovering above her. Jarod. Why is he crying? I don't like to see him cry. She cracked a pained smile and he smiled back. Someone opened the doors and wheeled her out as quickly as possible.

"You're going to be alright Anne," Jarod told her right before she blacked out.
