AN: Bwahahahaha! Hello my little minions! Though there are few of you, I want to thank all of y'all that are reading my book. Just gonna throw this out there, I know it kinda sucks, but hang in there. I'm gonna finish this one up and start up on a new book with a well-thought out plot. This one was kind of a "what the hell, let's write a book" kind of thing. It's only a few more chapters. Shit, I'm rambling. Welp, let's do this thang! Please comment and vote. It makes me happy.
Anne trailed behind Jarod as he lugged her suitcase down the stairs.
"Jay, you know I am capable of bringing my own suitcase down the stairs right?"
"I'm aware." She rolled her eyes and smiled.
"Thank you," She said shutting the door of her car. He leaned into the open window and pecked her lips.
"I'm gonna miss you," he whispered.
"I'll miss you too."
"Have a safe trip." The blonde laughed.
"My house is only like half a mile away."
"Point eight miles," he sniffed indignantly.
"I have to go now Jarod. I'll see you tomorrow." Giving him one last kiss, Anne drove somewhere she hadn't been in a long time. Home.
She turned the key and stepped inside. The smell of cookies welcomed her like a warm, nostalgic hug.
"Anne? Is that you sweetie?" Her mom and dad poked their heads out of the kitchen door and saw her. They were both slightly tanner from the Florida sun; Anne ran into their open arms.
"Hey! I'm left out. Not really feelin' the love here people." They turned to see David standing in the still-open doorway.
"Well?" his sister raised an eyebrow, "What are you waiting for then?" Smiling, he dropped his bags and joined the group hug- Anne squashed in the middle.
"Okay everybody," she managed to choke out, "as much as I love you guys, I need to breathe." They all laughed and sat down for some much needed family bonding.
*break*
"So your parents are back then?" Claire's voice sounded different on Skype.
"Yep!" Anne chirped happily, "Isn't your aunt, Sherry staying with you?" Claire nodded and smiled.
"Wait, who's Aunt Sherry?" Christina asked with a quizzical look on her face.
"Her aunt that's like, the most laid back aunt I have ever met. She's more like a teenager than an adult!" Anne laughed and Claire joined soon after.
"Yep, she arrived a little after Chandler left."
"WHAT?!" The other two girls shrieked together.
"He stayed with you." Christina stated rather than asked. Claire nodded with a far away look in her eyes and a small smile quirked her lips.
"So," Anne drawled, "what's going on between you two?" The redhead blushed a cherry red and vehemently denied anything.
"Oh come now love, we can see the sparks there." Anne couldn't help but nod along.
"Well what about you and Ashton Christina?" Claire shot back.
"We are going on a date in a few hours, so stop trying to change the subject." Claire and Anne squealed in delight, gushing about the adorable couple.
"But in all seriousness," Anne started, "how do feel about Chandler, Claire? I can see that you feel something." She sighed.
" I'm falling for him and I'm scared guys. I just don't want to be like those other girls. The ones that are so excited to change him. The ones he used and left broken-hearted." She sighed and looked down sadly.
"Aww honey. I know you're scared, but I've seen the way he looks and acts with you. He cares. In the end, it's up to you, but make sure you make a choice you won't regret." Christina agreed immediately. Claire opened her mouth to respond, but her aunt called to her before she could. The girls all bid each other goodbye and logged out.
