Claire's pov
My head thumped as I was temporarily blinded by the sunlight streaming through the partially cracked open curtains. I yawned and stretched, noticing that I was still in the clothes from last night. Ugh! I quickly changed into an oversized t-shirt and spandex shorts, tying my untamed hair into a messy bun. I dragged myself to the bathroom and splashed cool water on my face. Ringlets of hair tickled my face and I shoved them away. Pressing my hands to the sink, I tried to concentrate. What the actual hell happened yesterday? The only thing I got from that was a pounding sensation coming from the base of my skull. Basically, I felt like shit. That's enough thinking for now. I heard a clatter downstairs. Quickly grabbing my baseball bat, I crept down the stairs.
"What the fuck are you doing here Bilyk?!"
"Um.... You asked me to stay Tiger. Mind putting down your weapon there? I may be badass, but a spatula versus a bat.... I don't like my chances." An amused smirk crossed his face and I widened my eyes. Did I actually do that? Memories of me holding onto his hand and asking him not to leave flashed in my mind. The thought made me clutch my head in dulled pain.
"Easy there Tiger. I made breakfast. Here, this will help." He handed me an Advil and a glass of water. I quietly thanked him as I knocked back the pills.
"Bilyk?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm afraid to ask, but what exactly happened last night?" He placed a plate of food and a mug of coffee in front of me before leaning close to my face.
"What do you think happened Tiger?" The proximity made my heartbeat erratic yet somehow- don't ask me how 'cause I honestly have no clue- I managed a calm, coherent sentence.
"I think that you took me home and being drunk, I asked you to stay. Like the imbecile I am."
"Anything else?" His face still held a cocky, suggestive smirk, but his eyes held an emotion I couldn't quite place.
"No. For some reason, I don't think you did anything. I... trust you." A look of curiosity and wonder replaced his smug face and I couldn't help but look down.
"What? Are my eyes too pretty?" Remembrance hit me and a blushed.
"Oh God," I mumbled, "Why me?" He laughed. It was sincere and happy and just.... beautiful. I froze for a second just listening and looking at him. What the hell? I am so creepy.
"Tiger?"
"Say what?" He chuckled.
"You kinda zoned out for a minute there. You okay? Or do you want to keep checking me out?" Cue what I like to refer to as verbal diarrhea.
"What? Don't be so full of yourself. What reason could I possibly have to stare at you? Pfft! I've seen way better. Hehehe...." I shoved a forkful of eggs into my mouth before I could humiliate myself further. He smirked and opened his mouth to speak, but I forcefully muted him by shoving a boiled egg into his mouth.
"Suck an egg Bilyk."
"I'd rather yo-" I placed my hand over his mouth, effectively cutting him off.
"SHH! No innuendos before 10am!" He grinned at me, but kept quiet.
*break* (Anne's pov)
