08 » Lets Take It From The Top
❝I'm in the business of misery, let's take it from the top
She's got a body like an hourglass that's ticking like a clock
It's a matter of time before we all run out
When I thought he was mine, she caught him by the mouthI waited eight long months
She finally set him free
I told him I couldn't lie, he was the only one for me
Two weeks and we had caught on fire
She's got it out for me, but I wear the biggest smileWell there's a million other girls who do it just like you
Looking as innocent as possible to get to who
They want and what they like, it's easy if you do it right
Well I refuse, I refuse, I refuse!❞
-Paramore, Misery Business"Guys, I have a confession..." Lily started as the boys had rounded up the whole group the 3rd time that week. The Marauders suddenly looked interested and turned to look at her as they awaited her continuation. "I was the-" Lily started again to get cut off by yelling and rustling downstairs. They all looked at eachother and scrambled through the door and down the stairs.
"Is that Iris Evans? The girl that went missing for a week and a half?" One person whispered, not noticing the killer gaze Remus was giving them as they pushed through the crowd at the front entrance, trying to find out if it was true.
Iris woke up in the Forbidden Forest and almost screamed in joy, not even stopping to examine herself. She quickly ran, hoping to get to the castle before anything else could get a hand on her again. Iris had spent a long time with the person- or voice and was getting real sick of not seeing anything and not remembering how or when she got there. By the time she was at the courtyard infront of the castle she had suddenly felt a burning in her body, it was like she was drinking liquid fire and she didn't know how to stop it. Iris screamed, attracting attention to most of all the Hogwarts students since it was abnormally loud. Boys and girls lined the windows and came outside to see what was going on. She hadn't even had the need to look at herself and find if she was atleast mildly presentable until she saw some wandering eyes from males and females outside and inside.
Then, Iris realized something.
She was going to see her friends again.
And,
She was naked.
Iris quickly covered herself, looking scared out of her mind as she could suddenly practically feel the leaves and dirt in her hair and how it matted up at the top of her head. Everyone was staring at her until The Marauders burst through the door and outside, seeing Iris' state.
"Isn't anyone going to give her a coat?!" James yelled angrily at the people close to her, feeling something he couldn't describe as he looked at the hormonal teenage boys eyes wander over Iris. People scrambled around as Minerva McGonagall came out of the school, not noticing the strawberry blonde and yelling "What is the meaning of this? Get back to cla-" She started before her eyes trailed over Iris who was blushing fiercely with a leather jacket on her shoulders. "O-Oh! Miss Evans! Everyone back away and get to your classes!" Minerva yelled, taking Iris under her arm and escorting her to Dumbledores office.
But not before James could sneak a word into her ear..
"We will talk about this later, yeah?" He questioned with a dead serious expression which compelled Iris to shrink from the authority. She just nodded a yes and followed Minerva to the office.
