14 » You're The Cherry, I'm A Cigarette
❝So take a breath now, you don't have to go
It was a fast night, we can take it slow
There were fist fights, red lights
Running 'til I crashed into you
I got my ass kicked, but you held the ice
I was a train wreck, but you took the ride
Can we stay here, right here?
Nothing else that I wanna do
Don't shut me down now
Just hear me out now
Don't you go and carry on with your life
It was a one night stand 'til I woke up next to you
Don't you go, saying all your goodbyes
I want a one night stand just one more time with you
So give me one more night with you❞
-All Time Low, Don't You Go
The girls were very confused,
not sure how James could be at Hogwarts but out killing the Greenleaf bloodline at the same time. Lily had protested multiple times, saying it couldn't be him but Iris had a feeling- like it was somehow connected to James in some way...
However, she ignored it but still stayed alert when around him whilst trying to keep her distance.
Of course it never takes long for trouble to rise at Hogwarts and that is exactly what happened.
The clouds were rolling in at the night of December 30th, 1976 and Iris was getting a midnight snack when she heard a loud bump in the corridor.
Shakily, she walked on her toes towards the noise, coming face-to-face (or face-to-back in her case) with a boy that looked strangely like James but not at the same time. His face round but sculpted like a stone statue, his expression dark like a swirling storm and his hazel eyes darkened with emotions, feeding off her smallest amount of present fear. He looked behind, staring at Iris and turning away from his reflection in the marble, smirking down devilishly at the strawberry blonde. Iris almost wished she had brought James with her like she used to in her younger years.
The boy turned fully, dark circles crescenting under his eyes in shadowed bags that stood out from his unnaturally pale skin. He was attractive, yes, but his mischievious and dark aura was making Iris reel with uncertainty, not sure if she should run or not.
They stared at eachother until Iris heard a whisper from behind her.
"Iris...?" James whispered, coming around and facing the mysterious boy with a bewildered expression.
"How are you...alive?" He whispered to the boy only to realize he had disappeared, leaving only his dark atmosphere lingering in the corridor and Iris and James standing dumbfounded.
James turned to Iris with a growing glare.
"You spill and I will too." He growled feverishly, sprinting back to Gryffindor tower with Iris soon close to follow.
