"Now we shall tell you why we choose you for the dragon god slayer project"

"Alright then" I said as I sat on the floor knowing this is a long story.

Aldoron starts talking. "We are the five dragon gods. We have existed since X633 at the latest, the same year that the first guild, Magia dragon was created. We gained the description of gods due to the fear we struck in both humans and dragons who overheard our evil deeds over time, as well as each individual dragon's insurmountable strength"

"Because of your reputation, both humans and dragons fear you?" I questioned.

"Indeed. In the past, we fled to Guiltina in order to escape Acnologia, only to later figured out that our powers continuously grew even beyond the dragon king himself" Mercphobia said.

"Who's Acnologia?" I asked.

"He's a dragon slayer who later turned into a dragon. He killed both dragons and dragon slayers and even killed my father, the fire dragon king Igneel" Ignia said. "However Acnologia was defeated by a man called Natsu Dragneel, a fire dragon slayer who was raised by Igneel himself"

"Natsu Dragneel" I repeat. "That name sounds familiar"

"Maybe you've heard of him before" he said.

"Before we continue, may I know about your powers and abilities first?" I asked.

"Very well" Aldoron said. "I am known as the wood dragon god. I am the largest of dragons who commands life, possessing the ability to read the minds of others and absorb the nutrients from the living. My size is unrivaled to the point that a city rests in the palm of my hand. Not even this kingdom can contain me"

My jaw dropped in shock. They all chuckled at my reaction and I immediately closed my mouth.

Ignia cleared his throat. "I'm known as the fire dragon god for my intense fire. As I said before, I'm the son of the fire dragon king Igneel and brother of the fire dragon slayer Natsu Dragneel"

"I'm the water dragon god for my voluminous water capability. I control the water capital of Ermina and worshipped as a protector god to its citizens" Mercphobia said.

"I'm the only female among the dragon gods. I'm the moon dragon god. My powers revolve around the stars, the moon and the power of transportation between worlds" Selene said.

Viernes scratched his head. "Well, I'm the gold dragon god. I can summon golds from the ground and turn people into gold"

Okay, these guys are very powerful. Fighting them all at once is complete suicide. I can see why people fear them. "Wow, you guys must be the perfect team" I said.

"Actually, we never really see each other. We remain stationary to avoid fighting and killing each other or unless something big occurs" Viernes said.

"So for you guys to be here, something happened, right?" I put my hand on my chin.

"Yes" Aldoron said. "A dark guild called the legion wanted to take over the world. They've been trying to use a forbidden spell called life bringer to revive our dragon kind and a Lacrima device called devil's eye to control and manipulate them. Those who are controlled cannot be saved and we have no choice but to kill them"

"Life bringer and devil's eye" I whispered. "Is they anyway we can help them?"

"Well, the only way is to kill the dragon tamer himself cause he implanted the lacrima inside himself" Mercphobia said.

"Anyways" Aldoron continues. "After eight years, they've finally succeeded. They started summoning dragons to destroy cities in different parts of the world. We don't actually care about humans, but it began to affect us as well"
