Week One: Water Dragon God Slaying Magic

"Lucy, it's time to wake up" Mercphobia said through the door as he knocked.

"I'm up already. I'm just getting dressed" I said as I wore my white long sleeve outfit, black pants, black short boots and my brown trench coat. I saw a black cloak and decided to wear it. I opened the door and saw Mercphobia leaning on the wall. "I'm ready" I said. After I was done with my combat training, it's time for me to learn dragon god slaying magic. Aldoron told me that each training from each dragon will last a week. So the first week I going to learn water dragon god slaying magic from Mercphobia.

He motions him to follow him. While we were walking, many dragons were darting from place to place, trying to at least look like they were working. Most of them tried to steal glances of the water dragon god, giving me a frown when they caught sight of me. Even if I was human, just a weapon to them, I'm one of the highest ranked person. I can understand their irritation, I have been given special treatment.

When we left the castle, Karameel came to us and Mercphobia turned into a dragon. We climbed his body and he took off into the sky. During the flight, I saw different cities and they were nice. The journey took until it got dark when we finally reached Ermina, the place where I'll train. Mercphobia turned back to human form. Mercphobia and Karameel wanted to check on something, so he told me to sleep in a hotel for the night.

While I was walking, I caught the smell of ocean everywhere. The buildings were really old and awfully dirty. It wasn't long I found a hotel. I went inside and walked to the reception only to find a fish on the reception table.

"A fish?" I said. "What's a fish doing there? I wonder if there's any receptionist around?"

Suddenly the fish turned into a PERSON!! A MAN!! "Welcome to hotel journey" the man said as he jumped from the table. "I was taking a little nap and accidentally went fish.....I'm sure you know how it goes"

"I'm sure I don't!" I yelled.

"No way!!" The man yelled and he started running out of the hotel. "I almost forgot my date! Pick a room, any room, madam!"

I was confused. "Uh hey!"

"Sharkette, I'm coming for you!!" He shouted. "Shark...?" He then stops at the door. "Oh! I very nearly forgot to mention. If you have any intention of staying in this town, be certain to drink the welcome drink...that you'll find in your room. Otherwise, as human, there's...no way you'll survive" he then ran out yelling Sharkette.

"What's his story?" I shrugged it off and went to took a key. I entered one of the hotel room and saw the welcome drink he was talking about. The bottle has a skull head making me confused and a little scared. "Am I really gonna drink that stuff?!" I decided to drink it anyways. It didn't taste bad. After that, I took a bath and went to sleep.

I woke up seeing the place was underwater. I got out of my room as fast as I can. "What the hell is going on?!" I started running out of oxygen. "Carp! Can't breathe!" I let in a little bit of water in my nose and realized that I can breathe. "Wait, yes I can! I can even talk!" I swim to the outside and saw the town's underwater!!

"Ah, you took your medicine I see" I turn to see the man...fish from the reception yesterday. "That draught gives the less piscine among us some help in the water. Forgive me for not introducing myself. I'm Kashima, manager of hotel journey" he introduced himself as he bowed down.

"There's something wrong with this town!" I exclaimed.

"There's nothing wrong. It's simply high tide. This is a town of fish folks and these are our true forms" Kashima explained. "Anyways, the water dragon god calls for you"

I followed him to Mercphobia's temple. The place was huge and there's air in here. Kashima left while Mercphobia and Karameel walked up to me. "What do you think of Ermina?" Karameel smiled.

I sweat dropped. "You should have just told me"

"It would have ruined the surprise" Mercphobia said. "I'll show you around, then we'll begin training"

They showed me around. From the gardens, to the medical center and the surface guard tower. Mercphobia explains to me his power increases everyday and he can't control it. The townspeople were humans so he turned them into fish to survive. He fears if it continues, he's gonna end up flooding other cities including the dragon kingdom.

Right now, me and Mercphobia are somewhere far the town training. He taught me some basic attacks, the magics and told me I didn't even need the draught Kashima gave me to breathe underwater cause I'm a water dragon god slayer.

"Attack with everything you've got!" Mercphobia said as he turned into a dragon.

"Water dragon god iron fist!" I swim in full speed and punched him. It didn't do much damage to him. I backed up waiting to see which attack he's about to use. He roared as large amount of water shot of his mouth at me.

"Water dragon god roar!" I countered with my own roar of water. As soon as the roars clashed, it caused an explosion making the ocean to split open for some seconds before it closes back again.

Mercphobia flew back and charged at me with full speed. I barely dodged it. He was giving me a hard time. I was struggling to fight against the water dragon god and his overwhelming power. He keeps charging at me making it difficult for me to use my magic. Then Mercphobia did something I never thought it was possible. He flipped the sea upwards with his own magic! "This...how do I....fight..."

He roars again and water pillers from the ocean above starts shooting down at me. "Since there's no water now, I can easily dodge this, I hope" I front flipped away before it could hit me. I kept dodging till I got tired. One water piller was coming down at me from above.

"Water dragon god roar!" I chanted and manage to counter the attack. I looked everywhere and the ground was ripped apart. "That's a dangerous attack you used" I said.

"Water can be as hard as stone with the right amount of force" Mercphobia said.

"Oh really? Then I'll use this! Water dragon god sword horn!" I jumped up and my body was covered in water. I flew up with so much speed and hit Mercphobia's head. As I was falling, he said something

"Nice try, but can you survive this Lucy?" The ocean starts to form a giant whirlpool and I was being sucked up by it.

"UWAGH!!!" I shouted. "I'm being sucked up!! I can't dodge it!!" The whirlpool continued to suck me in until I was finally succumbed inside the water. I looked at his horns in the water and an idea came to my mind.

"Water dragon god whip!" I chanted as a whip made out of water extended at one of Mercphobia's horn. It grabbed hold of it and I pulled myself out. "Water dragon god iron fist!" I chanted as I focused all the magic in my fist. I punched his face so hard that he was sent flying. Then the ocean above fell to the ground returning to its position. I swim towards Mercphobia as he turned human.

"Well done Lucy. I'm impressed" he smiled.

"Thanks Mercphobia" I panted as I raised a thumbs up.

"That will be all for today. Let's go, it's getting dark" he said and we swim back to the temple while talking about random things.
