Chapter 6
Emily P.O.V
I quickly glance down at my side to notice a knife sticking out. I look around the room and see Pepper held a gun point by a person in black. I take a step forward and pain shoots up my side.
"Let her go." I growl and I hear gasps from the group when they see me. I look down at my blood stained dress. I grab the handle of the knife and grit my teeth as I pull it out. "Don't make me say it again." I growl and take another step forward.
"Why would I listen to you?" A deep voice says, but you can tell that it's a women because it's not as deep as a man's voice.
"Because I might've been stabbed in the side, but I can still fight. Now take off the mask and stand down." I order as the Avengers grab their weapons. I hold up my knife, aiming right for the throat in case she tries something. "You have five seconds to let her go, or this knife gets buried in your throat." I threaten and the person rips off her mask.
"Why would you threaten your mother?" She stands before me looking exactly like me without the scar, but right now my make-up covers it. Her face reminds me of the day she died.

"What?" I ask flabbergasted and I my whole body freezes. "Please tell me you're not serious?" My words turn to a whisper as I try to keep myself from crying. I run a hand through my hair and I stagger back a few steps. My breathing becomes a little erratic as I panic.
"I'm going to die, darling. I have cancer." My mom says again and I collapse to the ground on my knees. I crawl over to my mom and lay my head in her lap. Tears stream down my face and a shaking, small and frail hands wipes away my tears and touches my hair.
My name is Emily Andrews and my mom just told me she was dying. I'm a twenty four year old, with blonde hair and striking green eyes. I pretty much got my looks from my mom, I think. She says I do, but I don't have anyone to compare to. I don't know who my father is. I asked once in my lifetime and it made my mom cry so I never asked again for fear of making her cry again.
"Mom, how bad is it?" My lips quiver to release the flood since my eyes were just sprinkling. She looks down at me with sad eyes and strokes my hair has my head that still lays in her lap.
"I've got till tonight." She says and I begin to full blown sob into her dress. "I don't want you to cry, baby girl. I want you to get out the suit and let me see you wearing it for the last time." She says and I nod my head because I'd do anything for my mom. I stumble up onto shaky legs.
I try to run out of the room or at least run without slamming into walls because of the tears blurring my eyes. Sadness had totally consumed me. I invented a suit, just like the famous Iron Man one. The colors are different though. I did them as green and gold. The gold is to match the Iron Man one and the green because it was my mothers and my favorite color.
I grab the phone like feature that I got it to fit in to. I got it to weigh about the same as a phone, but fold up into my suit quickly. I run back into the room with my mom and I unfold it with a simple scan with my thumb.
It only opens to me and it only fits me. I actually have a few, but they're not compacted into the phone feature, but I can call them to me. I have one that is like a small ball and one like a cube, then one that never folds, but non that wouldn't look like a phone other than this one. They're not here, but somewhere safe.
I only have to either have my Automated Intern, Alice, open my suit on someone who has clearance to do the orders, but if I say stop it won't listen to them. Also I just have to say my full name to unfold it. I can also say suit up for it to suit me up. I also have an ear piece installed in my ear, which will call my suit to me. It is untraceable and can't be scene in any cat scan or behind my head where it is installed.
