It's a beautiful, but ice cold winter evening. Seoul's streets are almost empty, and only a few tough people dare to go outside. Five young men have made themselves comfortable in one of the large apartment complexes. The room feels warm and pleasant, compared to the cold from outside, as they talk while taking casual sips of their delicious tasting SuJeongGwa. It's not usual to see only the five of them together, when their group of friends are always seven. The reason for that is simple, though. Yoongi had called an emergency meeting, without the youngest two’s knowledge, to think of a plan that would help them finally confess. Watching the oblivious fools pinning for each other, acting like they aren't deeply in love is becoming too painful. This has to come to an end, preferably soon. More often than not, the five boys feel the urge to kick the younger ones' butts. They always wave their hyungs’ comments off as a joke, telling them to stop being unrealistic after they point out some things, which look pretty obvious.
Yoongi is the only one who knows about their feelings, because for whatever reason they trusted him with their secrets. He didn't ask for that, but who is he kidding, it warms his heart. Not long ago, Yoongi wrote each of them a letter. Taehyung and Jeongguk were close to tears by his words, so it's not surprising that they see him as a kind of mother hen, which both of them now follow like starved chicken to get some love advice. Yoongi always whines in his mind, because he's single, doesn't want a relationship at all and is the last one they should ask such things. Unfortunately he can't say no to the boys, loves them very much and secretly uses Google for help.
It was originally his idea to meet with Seokjin, Hoseok, Namjoon and Jimin. He just can't see the boys suffer any longer and has no idea of how to change that.
"Alright, we already know that Tae and Guk are in love, Yoongi just confirmed our suspicion." Hoseok speaks up after the whispers have died down. "I'm sure you all are as tired as I am. How can one be so dense?"
Jimin groans, agreeing. He has tried to get Jeongguk to tell him, but the boy is always stubborn and very skilled in changing the topic. He knows exactly how to change the topic by suddenly asking about his dance course, making him forget what they were talking about within seconds. "Sometimes I've a feeling that they're already secretly dating and making fun of us for trying to set them up. Then again, they're probably too afraid to come out to us. Ugh, we need to think of something fast."
Seokjin pulls a piece of paper and a pen out of his backpack. "Right after Yoongi called me, I came up with something. Christmas is just around the corner and we do that Secret Santa thing every year, right?" He writes all of their names down and then looks up with a grin. "Let's cheat. Let's make Tae and Guk be each other's Santa. If my memory doesn't betray me, they never had each other before. They will have to write a letter to one another and we all know that it will literally sound like a love confession. It's gonna make them finally realize that they're head over heels and if not, I still have the mistletoes." With a shrug at the last said part, Seokjin ends his speech and leans back into his seat.
"Now that you mention it, you're right, but how are we gonna do that? We draw a paper and it's completely random who we get." Namjoon rubs his chin, even though the idea is great, it's not easy to carry out.
Seokjin laughs. "Nothing easier than that. Jimin is going to suggest that we go according to age when it comes to pulling the names out of the bowl, starting with me, the oldest. Make sure y'all wear something with long sleeves. Hobi's job is to distract them while I put only their names in it."
Hoseok nods, he can do that. "It should be easy. We should practice with the sleeve trick, though. It'd ruin everything if someone messes up." A glance at Namjoon makes everyone, except him, chuckle.
"Oh come on, I'm not that bad." With a whiny tone, Namjoon complains.
Seokjin raises a brow at his statement, but ignores it. "Now that everything is planned, let's call them and have a small barbecue." He leaves the table to prepare the food and drinks, while Yoongi is in charge of informing the boys.
Finally the group is complete and they spend their night with laughs, funny stories and a lot of hidden mischievous grins towards the unsuspecting pair, Jeongguk and Taehyung.
