They have an hour to themselves before the doorbell rings and Hoseok runs to answer it. "We’ll be out in twenty, is that okay?"

The guy makes an okay sign and goes back to the vehicles he brought with him. 

Hoseok makes sure that the surprise doesn't get spoiled as he runs to each room to tell them to dress warmly and come downstairs fast. 

After the incident in the morning they comply, gathering in the middle of the living room. Hoseok claps loudly to make them stop chit-chatting. "Alright, I booked something for all of us. We can go in three groups. One consisting of three and two of two people. I'd say Namjoon and Jimin, Taehyung and Jeongguk, leaving Seokjin, Yoongi and I. Any complaints?"

No one disagrees and so they follow Hoseok outside and are amazed by what he had secretly planned for them. 

Taehyung is the first to speed walk to the sleighs. There are two horses in front of each and on the seats were warm, fuzzy blankets to keep them warm. He always wanted to ride one in winter. Now he can experience it together with Jeongguk, just the two of them in one sleigh. "Guk, come over. It's so beautiful." Some winter flowers decorate the rods of the vehicle, they're even on the horse's bridle. 

Jeongguk does as told, in awe of the beauty in front of him. Taehyung looks even more ethereal with this setting. 

One of the men who'll guide a sleigh explains a few things. Their horses aren't easily started, but for all eventualities they have rules to follow to keep everyone safe. After the ten minutes introduction, they can finally get onto the sleigh. Jeongguk helps Taehyung by opening the tiny door and holding his hand as he gets on the step. They're last in the row, making everything more private for them. As soon as they're seated and properly wrapped up in the blanket, the sleigh begins to move. 

The sound of horse hooves in the snow, the skids gliding through the cold white pulver and the fresh air is everything needed to make it a romantic trip. They drive along wide fields, through a part of the woods and soon reach a frozen lake. The entire time, Jeongguk and Taehyung sit cuddled up next to each other. They see snow bunnies, musk deers and other animals that feel comfortable in the cold. The pair share shy glances every now and then, rub each other's arm when a cold wind comes up to stay warm and they're holding hands while talking about whatever comes to their minds. It's perfect and harmonious. 

The group takes a break after a while. The front sleigh has a small box attached to the back where a big waterproof blanket, warm tea in thermo cans and food in containers are stored. 

Taehyung nudges Jeongguk. "That's why Hobi suddenly disappeared yesterday for more than two hours."

"Oh, you're right. He's always good for a surprise. I wish I knew how to give him something back, but he's rich and can buy anything he wants." Jeongguk sighs with disappointment. 

With an agreeing hum, Taehyung hugs him a little tighter and notices how he's relaxing in his hold, as if melting. It makes him happy that only he can calm him like that. 

When they're told to leave the sleigh, Jeongguk gets off first and waits. As Taehyung jumps down, he catches him in his arms with a laugh. "Be careful, hyung. It's really slippery."

"Oh, okay." He takes the first step and almost slips, but again two strong arms are immediately wrapped around him. Taehyung can't prevent a blush from appearing on his cheeks. At least he could say that it's the cold. "Thanks, Guk."

They join the others and feed each other with the snacks that have been laid, not hearing the whispers about them looking domestic. 

Before they freeze to ice cubes, the picnic is over after half an hour and everyone is back in the warmth of the fuzzy blankets and body heat of the person next to them. The way back seems shorter and Taehyung is sad when he has to say goodbye to the horses. They all thank the men for their good service and after entering the cottage, the boys praise Hoseok for the surprise gift. He is truly happy that it was a big success.
