Yato was walking back to the theatre club when he run into you. Suspicious of your behaviour and motive he hid behind one the pillars. Clear distain reflected in his trichromatic eyes as observed you cluelessly look around; trying to find the person you ran into. You may have been a bitchy, dumb, awful, stalkerish and narcissistic girl but one thing you weren't in the past was fake.
You never faked anything before. Now you are suddenly pretending like you are a sweet, lovely human being who calls people buddy? Something is up. And Yato has to know what.

But then again Rin looked sad and worried today shouldn't he take care of her? Hmm.. But he has to know what you are up to. You aren't as predictable as you used to be before. He needs to be careful around you and keep Rin safe.

"Hey! Um hey there do you have a pen on you? " You approached the first person you saw.
"Hi... Oh god um.. Hey I mean yes Ms. Williams. "
"That's way too formal buddy just call me F/n. Your name and pronouns?  "

"Sam. And you c-care about my pronouns? Its Mx/They"
"Of course I do! Living with an uncommon pronoun must be pretty hard. I don't want to be that dickhead cis-person assuming. "

They smiled while fishing around in their back pack.
"Thanks hun. Here you go. "
"Thanks! "
"Hmm... you seem nothing like the rumours I heard. You dont seem like someone who bullies people for being unattractive or nerdy or geeky. Cuz of these rumours when I saw you approach my heart dropped. "
After putting your name down you chuckled nervously.

"Well those rumours were... somewhat true... But! I have grown! " 'More like got replaced over night but whatever I guess'
Sam sighed exaggeratingly
"Good thing I didn't meet the scary you. "
"Yup! "
You really are happy they didn't meet Brittany but you.
"Say aren't you in the drama club? "
"Honey I am always in a drama 'club' Ya gotta be more specific? "
"Haha right I meant theatre club. "

"Well. I am always bunking club so it doesn't matter. " Sam's eyes glowed brightly.
"Well you should come! This time around we are holding an audition for a summer special play. All side characters are booked. We still haven't found a good female lead tho. " Your eyes widened. Now you remembered..This is how Mark fell in love with Rin! They both were choosen as main leads and Yato was the villian!

Falling for Rin or hurting her leads to the same conclusion. Mark is your friend. You have to protect him!
"F/n? F/n! " Sam raised their voice forcing you out of your thoughts.
"Yeah um sorry! I am just still hangover from a party. "
"Oh yeah from that "No nerds allowed " party. I am surprised you came to school today. "
"Welllll I wasn't going to but that bitch-- my friend fucked me up. Anyhow! I am interested in auditioning. "

Sam smiled brightly and almost jumped on you with excitement
"Cool! The audition is in 3 days. Don't worry tho I will help you practice and together we can get you that role. "

"Great! we should meet up to practice.  "

You and Sam continued talking. Yato gritted his teeth. Is this why you had this sudden "growth". So you can win public favour and get the lead role? Well tough shit F/n. Yato plans on Rin getting the lead role. This is his one chance to get close to Rin. And he is not letting you and your pesky little "buddy" ruin it for him. Deciding he has seen enough, Yato left.

You and Sam decided on a location, exchanged contact info and said goodbye to each other. Then went seperate ways.

You mistakenly went in the teachers' office without knocking and immediately regretted it.

"Sorry I didn't mean to--"
"Perfect timing! Perfect timing Ms..."

"Ms. F/n! This is your new literature professor Kristopher Matthew Colonel Hart."
Mr. Dougnut's face stretch into a gleeful smile. You already knew what was coming.
