The Dyut Sabha left a lot of bad memories, and twelve years in forest to those horrid memories to act as salts on the wounds.
It had been just two days when Draupadi, and her husbands, the mighty Pandavas had started their twelve year vanvaas.
Even with being accustomed to the life of forest, the dead hollow eyes, the absence of spirit they had, the monotonous acts classified as homely chores; It was all visible, the six were shaken, like trees uprooted.Yudhisthir stared at his hands, the hands that staked his brothers and their wife, their home, their land, everything; Wishing he could just burn them, and along with them the guilt in his heart.
Bheem constantly did something, wanted to his hands, his strength- cutting trees, stomping and creating large holes on the ground: Just something, to make use of his strength, the same strength he possessed but couldn't use it to save his wife.
Arjun paced around staring in the abstract, thinking absolutely nothing. He was blank like a piece of paper, he felt as if everything was ended and their was truly nothing he was left with.
Nakul, the quirkiest and fastest of them all, bought in water everyday, walking in pace that could give competition to the tortoises; all while wondering what has bought him and his family, from riches to rags, from being happiest to the a grief-stricken family?
Sahdev, the youngest one, with ability to foresee future had it rough; his physical wounds were patched, but his mind worked million things a second, trying to understand what was the meaning of vision he was having. Since the day of Dyut he had been having nightmares, and he couldn't picture them in a line.
Draupadi, the most beautiful woman in the realm, she sat down near the door, looking at the sun; her face covered in ugly bruises, a handiwork of Dushashan. She did not blame her husbands, not anymore, but the evil labyrinth Shakuni had planned, it broke her from inside, broke her beyond repair.
She begged to the Gods to make her forget that day; but she didn't expect the Gods to actually do that.
Narayan saw her nightmare filled nights and agonizing days, and decided that it would be best for her to forget everything. And that was how, Panchali lost her memories, not only of Dyut Sabha, but of everything, her entire life.
She is turned into a child of one, barely remembers anything and doesn't understands the shards of memories.
