Xul saw Claude and Zyren talking to each other when he got back.
'Oh, right, this is the part in the novel where Claude consoled Zyren for not having friends in his class'
Xul recalled, He sat down at the seat nearing the door, he then opened up a bento and started to eat as he watched the trainee of hunters department fight the rune wolf at the cage.
On the other hand, Claude opened his gear while seated beside Zyren
"I see that you don't get along with your class"
Claude said as he continued shuffling and typing on his gear as he arrange the names of students that he will put on different teams.
"I just hate how noisy they are"
Zyren answered back in annoyance but he didn't show it to the professor beside him as he enjoyed watching other trainees fight the class C rune wolf.
"You know, being alone won't help you when you face danger at the borders"
Claude said looking at his student through his transparent screen, smiling.
'Is he giving me a lecture? I know what he is going to say, I have my memory of my past life with me after all, however'
Many thoughts went inside Zyren's head as he remembered his past but eventually he still answered his instructor.
"sir, I know what are you going to say, that I'll die if I don't get along with them."
Zyren answered him bluntly. Instructor Claude turns off his gear after he speak
"It's not like that, I mean try to make friends with them. When I was at your age, I was like you too, being a loner, then I realized when we got deployed on the borders, that it was dangerous to go alone"
he's being serious and sincere about his words However Zyren knew, he knew the problem right from the start
"sir do you really think that I don't want to try to make friends with them?"
Zyren asked him, while still watching the fight. Claude looked confused but Zyren just slightly smiled as he started to speak again
"look at my classmates, they have their own group of friends, and when I try to get close to them things would get awkward and people will initially start telling stories about rumors about me"
Zyren looks down, caressing the gear Layla lent him.
'I know I am strong in my past life. I even fight a dragon all by myself but in this life I need to adapt and change my life slowly but peacefully.'
Zyren's thoughts filled his mind again however he get back to his senses again when the Professor patted his back to calm down.
"tell me more about it"
Claude said gently as he was ready to hear what Zyren's story was. At first Zyren hesitated to tell him the whole story but eventually he spoke about it as he look far.
