Xul and Zyren were sitting at the bench at the rooftop, as Xul continues to explain.
"So were inside the novel you wrote, when you are still Sonata"
"Exactly"
Zyren brushed his face with both hands again.
'I guess it's too much information to digest'
Xul smiled benignly to Zyren as he thought of that.
"Are you sure you're not writing another novel"
"I'm not"
'I suck at it'
He bluntly responded to Zyren and continued his answer inside his mind.
'I realized that when I got rejected multiple times'
"Sigh~ so, now do you believe me?"
He looked at Zyren and flinched after seeing that the young man in front of him was using magic making his eyes glow.
"Are you using lie detector magic on me right now?"
Xul asked with an iffy expression on his face. Zyren didn't really believe him at first but now that he saw Zyren use his magic to tell lies from truth, his discomfort was now replaced and lightened.
Zyren on the other hand was dumbfounded, he look like a fool for not believing to Xul's words, however he still act cool, concealing his mixed emotions.
"Oh ho, you can tell, You really are telling the truth."
"Of course I am, but that consumes more mana doesn't it?"
"ah yeah, but that doesn't matter, I can gather more of it"
"haha, of course you will, when you end up in Ciros team, you'll be getting more mana crystals, free at that-"
'This guy, he really is making fun of me, but, he's telling the truth'
"yeah-yeah-"
Zyren's thoughts were slowly getting aligned together, especially knowing that Xul was telling the truth to him.
However...
"Why are you telling me these?
Zyren looked at Xul with a serious expression.
"I don't want to die twice, dum dum, It was painful"
Xul bluntly answered him at first but his expression slowly getting soft as if he was suffering on his own.
Zyren found the bitter smile on Xul's face and made him frown. However, he couldn't continue to frown and stood up as he spoke.
"Then, let's work together"
Zyren offered his hand to Xul.
Xul glanced at him and smiled as he grabbed Zyren's hand for support to get up from his seat.
"You'll rewrite my story, an-"
Zyren stopped for a moment and continued what he was saying in his mind.
'And I'll make all your worries go away.'
Zyren felt that he had to say that to Xul, however, he didn't and just smiled. He didn't know why he thought of that, but he knew when he was with Xul, he felt like it was peaceful.
'maybe that's the reason why I trusted you easily'
Meanwhile...
"Where is my little brother?!"
Ciros shouted fuming at Claude who was ignoring him while typing something on his gear gadget. He didn't really want to talk to him now, especially on what happened earlier that Xul vomited blood.
Claude would be lying if he said he didn't care for the by, but, he knew that he was already in good hands if he was with his student.
Ciros walked towards Claude and put his hand on the instructor's shoulder. Claude turned off his gear and looked at Ciros, he then removed his friend's hand.
'I guess I really can't ignore this persistent one'
