"Did you hide your power!?"
Zelean exclaimed to Zyren, without even worrying that the principal was there with them. Xul tried to stop him however someone held his shoulder to keep him away, it was the principal himself.
The principal shook his head and spoke at a sound that only Xul can hear.
"Those two need to talk and get along"
Xul understood those words, he knew it the most. While writing the novel, he thought of Zelean as a bully, no, a brother who grows alongside the main character and in the end they were going to be inseparable partners that they could trust each other with their backs.
"I know"
Xul mumbled to himself and turned to face Ciros.
"We shouldn't let lady Agatha waiting"
Ciros smiled as the two of them resumed walking. Ciros then looked at the back and saw the principal looking at Xul. The principal then turned his head to the two young men near him and walked past them, leaving them alone to talk.Claude who was just a thin air for a moment sighed at what he witnessed.
"I think this following days would be interesting"
He said to himself as he walked to the same direction the group walked in leaving Zyren and Zelean in the hallway.
"And what should I explain things to you?"
Zyren asked Zelean who is still releasing his energy around him to scare Zyren, however that trick won't work on him anymore. Zelean noticed it and hid his energy.
"Sigh~ what was that fire shot?"
"You already answered the question, that was a fire shot"
Zelean got pissed at Zyren's answer, he is not used to this attitude of Zyren, he noticed that this person in front of him changed a lot overnight. He then let his madness out and shouted at Zyren who was looking at him calmly.
"Arghh dang it, I mean what was that! You didn't have that kind of power before."
Zyren's calm gaze disappeared at Zelean's comment, he then started to shout back at him after Zelean releases the grip on his rival's shirt.
"HEY ZELEAN NIGHTROAD! Are you really looking down on me Zelean! Just because you are an elite student of the Academy that doesn't mean that I can't grow the same."
"You-"
"You what? Are you afraid that I will be more powerful than you are?"
Zelean was about to retort back but cutted by Zyren who had a lot more to say to him.
"Tsk- arrogant bastard"
Zelean mumbled and walked away. However, Zyren spoke before walking the opposite direction.
"You'll grow strong, even if you don't compete with me"
Zelean heard it and stopped from his tracks and looked back, Zyren was nowhere to be found. Zyren hid at one of the empty classrooms, he needed to be alone for a moment as he remembered the conversion he had with Xul. he then sighed and thought.
'Because Xul had plans for you too'
Zyren laughed as he sat, sliding his back on the wall and looking up in the ceiling.
"He said he created this story, heh- look at you now doubting him and not at the same time."
Zyren's alter ego 'Kazimir', his past life's half soul, was talking to him. He still hasn't completely merged the soul inside him for he is still weak for him to do it.
"I believed him, yes, but me, a character inside a novel."
"I know, it is hard to believe, but we used a lie detection spell to him, he's not lying"
"I don't doubt him, because when I see him and hear him talk, I feel that all what he says is true, like we're connected to each other"
'Connected'
Xul felt, no it's like he heard Zyren's voice. He turned his back to see if Zyren was near him however there was no one there but Ciros who was waiting for him as he signed his licence as a hunter.
