"You dropped your wallet." The person said jogging up to me. It was a girl. My age. She was wearing a black pencil skirt, white platform heels with black bottoms, and a white sleeveless dress shirt that had a black collar and black buttons.
I sighed in relief and then took my wallet from her hand, thanking her. I turned to walk away, but then she called to me again.
"I know you." She said with a smile. I looked at her up and down and took a few steps back.
"No hablo inglés." I replied shying away. She tilted her head and then shrugged her shoulders.
"I guess I don't know you..." She said walking away. I did the same, wiping my hands on my jeans. That was a peculiar encounter that had me scared to death. I was in another country but I was sure someone there would be American.
'Best friend, you are my fucking best friend. Seriously! It's like the bet night ever!' My phone rang in my back pocket. I took it out and answered it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hey it's Roc" he answered. I completely forgot that was his ring tone.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Keisha has a job offer for you waiting." He replied. My face lit up. I needed a job desperately. It was a part of the plan.
"Forreal?" I asked excitedly.
"You better hurry up before you miss it." He said.
"Tell her I'll be there in fifteen minutes." I replied before hanging up. I jogged down the street slapping my peach Vans against the cobblestone.
Phase two of my plan would be complete in a matter of moments. I could save up money and buy a house or at least an apartment in my home land and that would be that.
What about Princeton? Where would he fit? I thought, he has his own life and I would too. There were still too many questions that needed to be answered and needed to be answered fast.

When I arrived at the studio, the guys were taking pictures with a jumpy and loud photographer that kept screaming at them to move different ways and how great they were doing.
A young girl was crying and carting a box around the room collecting her things. I walked over to Keisha who was standing with her clip board and iPhones in hand speaking to Walter.
I stood at her side nervously, it looked like she was in a bad mood. Everywhere you turned there was someone nervous and jumpy around the corner.
"I told her three times I wanted the brown Louis Vuitton sneakers and every time she questioned my choice and brought me something different. No! You know I only give people ONE time to piss me off, but I gave her THREE chances to correct herself. Walter, you know it was over for her!" She ranted.
I looked down at my outfit to detect any ratchetness. I wore a peach V-neck cashmere sweater, a white silk scarf around my neck, a white jean jacket, white skinnies, and peach Vans. My hair was pulled into a bun with my natural curls out and my gold hoops.
Walter nodded his head and then pointed at me to notify her that I was there. She turned to look at me, looked at me up and down, and smiled. She gave me a warm hug and rocked me from side to side.
"How you doin' girl!?" She asked with a pearly white smile.
"I'm doing fine, how are you?" I asked smiling back.
"I have a job for you, come with me." She said motioning me to follow her. We entered the central room for all incoming and clothing selections.
There were four racks on each side of the room and a long never ending row of sneakers and shoes for the guys. Other accessories were sitting on tables in the middle of the room.
