I wake up tangled in sheets with Julie jumping to the bed.

"Your mom made us eggs!" She jumps again. "Wake up!

I groan. "Stop jumping on me! You're heavy!!"

She stops and climbs off the bed. "Alright, but come eat, she cooked eggs."

Like a little girl on Christmas she runs down the stairs as I sit there contemplating my life choices. I then decide to go downstairs, still in my onesie. I sit at the bar waiting for the eggs to get passed down to me. Finally, I get the eggs, eat with them, and then Julie and I head upstairs to change. We walk in and I close the door. I open the closet, waving Julie in.

"Wow!!" She looks around at my giant walk in closet. "You have so many nice clothes!! I had seen it when I put the onesies in here, but your mom had already moved your clothes."

I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. "Thanks. Which outfit do you want to wear?"

"Oh my gosh, you're letting me wear your clothes?" She squeals.

"I mean, yeah, you didn't bring an overnight bag with a change of clothes."

"True, I was planning on just wearing the same clothes as yesterday, but this is so much better. Thank you!"

"No problem." I turn to a rack of clothes and pick out a red dragon crop top and some rainbow tights from the shelf below. "You choose what clothes you want to wear and change in here. I will change in the bedroom."

"Alright." She turns to the rack as I walk out and close the door.

I go to the middle of the room and start trying to unzip my onesie. I struggle for a minute before finally getting it off. I fold up the onesie and put it on the bed for Julie to take home. I turn but stop when I feel Julie put her arms around me and hug me before leaving the room. I then throw on my crop top and pull on the tights and leave the room as well. I walk downstairs, skipping the bottom two, and go into the living room where Julie is sitting.

"So I had an idea of what we could do today instead of just staying inside." I climb behind her and sit with my head on her shoulder. "What if we go to the abandoned cabin and fix it up?"

"That's a great idea!" She gets out her phone. "We will need to borrow your mom's car so we can get some lumber to fix up holes."

I laugh. "I put some lumber in there a few days ago when I first thought of this."

"Cool. Let's head over now." She opens the garage door and grabs my spare bike.

We bike over to the water tower and climb up the ladder. Once at the top, we strip and jump in the water and swim over to the cabin.

"Alright. What's the plan here?" She lifts herself out of the water onto the balcony.

"Well, first is building a platform with a staircase to the balcony at water level with the sealed wood so we can get out of the water easily." I swim to the spot where we will build the staircase and platform. "Then we can build railing with the poles I bought to surround the balcony."

We get to work and four hours later, we were finished. We had built a platform, a staircase, put up railings, and replaced any rotted or missing boards throughout the whole house. We sit down on the edge of the balcony with our legs through the railings.

"Whew. That was a lot of work." I thread my fingers through hers. "But it was worth it. We still aren't finished, though."

"We aren't?" She looks behind us "It looks finished to me."

"Nope! We still have to repair the water to the cabin and buy furniture for it."

"Oh. Well can we do that tomorrow? I'm tired."

"Sure Julie"

We hop in the water and swim back to the water tower. I get to my clothes only to find 12 missed calls from my mom.

"Julie we have to get home. Now!"

We bike home at tops speed. We drop our bikes on the front porch as we run inside.

"Mom?!" I run around the corner, right into mom's chest. "Mom, why did you call me so much?"

"Sweetie, are you alright? If I wanted to contact you I would have texted." She hugs me.

"I have 12 missed calls from you." I look in her purse for her phone. "Mom, you phone isn't here!"

"Oh, gracious! Someone stole it! Well, I better go get a new one and deactivate the other one. You girls be good." She winks at me as she grabs her purse from next to her and leaves.

"I better go." Julie turns and starts to walk out. "See you tomorrow!!"

"Alright!" I close the door after her and plop down on the couch, still in my wet clothes. After a while, my mom comes home and we eat dinner after I change.

I should probably go to bed early so I can get up early.

I go to bed and fall asleep quickly.
