Izana was a proud man who came from a proud family of successful people. His grandfather, Sano Sasaki, formed the Sano Dojo more than 50 years ago, training some of the most talented martial artists in Japan and even in other foreign countries. Himself and both of his brothers each have formed their own companies, his older brother, Sano Shinichiro, has a chain of motorcycle repair shops under his belt. He sponsors many races and is even on his way to having a his own brand. His younger brother, Sano Manjirou (or Mikey as he so childishly liked to be called. Izana stopped hating on it after he found it Manjirou did it to make Emma feel more comfortable) helps underprivileged kids, teens and young adults move on in life, getting into the best universities, successful jobs, his motto being 'making a new era for those who can't help themselves'. Honestly, Izana just thinks his little brother is copying him. Izana company, 'Kingdom', has a number of programs all over the world, but mostly based in Japan and the Philippines to assist orphans, the homeless and those living in poverty to get a proper education, well paying jobs, a safe roof over their heads and opportunities in their futures. He funds many orphanages and schools as well. His younger sister, Sano Emma, was the only one who didn't get into the business side, but rather went into fashion and beauty, successful still she is, even at only 21, is already assistant directing runways and working with A list celebrities.

Izana loved his family, but it was often questioned why he still kept his surname as Kurokawa instead of changing it to Sano like Emma did. He didn't really know anymore, when he was younger, he just wanted to make a name for himself without people thinking he got help from his older brother. There was a few times where he considered changing it now that he has his own name but just hasn't really find the motivation to do as such.

Nevertheless, despite his family thinking he was crazy at first, they all adored his adoptees and considered them their own family too. They each had their favourite too, Shion really liked Grandpa Sano, always asking him for tips on how he can improve. Hajime and Rindou favoured Emma, the two were interested in fashion too, Rindou had an eye for knowing how to slap glasses onto an outfit and make it better and Hajime always offered more sustainable ways to access fabric. Sometimes it was easy to forget they were only 8 year olds. Mucho and Kakucho really looked up to him while Ran and Mochi both really liked Manjirou and Shinichiro.

"Rin-chan! Oh my goodness, I knew this outfit was missing something, thank you!" Emma squealed, bending down to pinch his cheeks. Rindou coughed awkwardly and turned his head to hide his blushing face.

"Y-your welcome Emma-san."

"Shion boy, go down to the dojo, I'd like to see your improvement," Sasaki ordered, Shion nodded enthusiastically before running off.

Hajime, Rindou and Kakucho too followed Emma to her home office, Kakucho had been getting interested too lately. Shion was with Sasaki, Ran, Mochi and Mucho all decided to play some ball out the back with Mikey. So it was just him and Shinichiro left in the family room.

"So have you got a babysitter yet?" Shinichiro asked, peering over at him.

"Yeah, hired him yesterday, just went over some stuff today. He's young but I think he'll do well, the kids like him," Izana replied.

"Well that's good, especially since all those little bodies hold so many trust issues. How young is he?"

"21, but he seems more mature. And he has experience with kids."

Shinichiro looked at him strangely for some reason, "What?"

"You have this look on your face. You're actually smiling while talking about him. Oh! My little bro has a crush!~"

Izana sputtered and turned to fully face his older brother, staring at him incredulously, "What the fuck are you talking about? He's my employee and I literally just met him yesterday-"

"You always have a grouchy expression on your face unless your with or are talking about the kids. Trust me, I know more than enough about having crushes, you can develop one at first sight."

Izana stayed silent, there was no way. He couldn't possibly have a crush on Hanagaki. He was his boss, and Hanagaki was literally just there for the money because he was a broke university student. As soon as he had enough in his pocket, he would be off. And with how much Izana planned on paying him, it wouldn't take long to pay whatever debt the student had. The idea of that made his heart clench and he hated that feeling. Why would he care if Hanagaki left? And why was he constantly on his mind? He's just a random person-who just so happens to be the most captivating person he's ever met- who is looking after his kids. He is also way too young as well, a seven year age gap. And Hanagaki seemed to be in a relationship of sorts with that detective and-why is he even thinking about that?! It has nothing to do with him.

Never once in his entire life had one person been constantly running through his mind before. His eyes widened, no-there was no way. Izana had never had a crush before, that would explain all these feelings he doesn't understand. He had been with people obviously, he wasn't some old virgin like Shinichiro. But he had never felt any connection to them, they were just someone to temporarily fill his adult male needs. And fuck, holy shit, disgrace to all the gods above,

He had a crush on Hanagaki Takemichi.

He wanted to punch that smug i told you so look off Shinichiro's face.

"You know, whenever your thinking or talking about this young fellow, your feelings are so obvious on your cute little face."

"I will literally drop kick you into next year."
