His first day back at the office certainly had been busy, and longed for nothing more than a hot shower and watching a movie with the kids. He hadn't been called once today, so he assumed the day went well. He even ended up getting home a little early, he walked in, expecting at least one of the kids to greet him but not one did. He took his shoes off and changed into slippers and hung his coat on the rack before continuing. It sounded like there was people in the kitchen, he supposed that made sense regarding the time. He made his way through the living room which was on the way to the kitchen, stopping abruptly when he saw Kakucho on the couch. Looking closer he realised the kid was asleep, and had been an unfortunate victim of the other kids antics due to the marker drawings on his face.

The ruckus grew louder as he neared the kitchen, but the sight he walked in on was not the one he was expecting. Hanagaki had tears in his eyes, his lips quivering as Ran and Mochi yelled at each other while trying to wrap his hand at the same time. His eyes widening at the deep red blood seeping out. Rindou was hyperventilating, arms wrapped around himself in the corner, Hajime was staring at his injured babysitter with unblinking eyes, Mucho and Shion were nowhere to be seen.

"What the hell is going on here?" He asked, trying to make sense of the situation in front of him.

Hanagaki's teary eyes snapped to his direction and Izana forced himself to ignore the pang in his chest at the idea of him being hurt. "K-Kurokawa-san! I'm-I'm so sorry, dinner isn't made an-and they're not all bathed."

Izana took a few more steps into the kitchen, confusion etched into his expression, "Hanagaki, why the hell are you apologising? You're hurt."

"It's-it's my fault, I'm so sorry. Fuc-shit-no crap, I'm so sorry for swearing! I-I really hate blood and, oh my god I think Shion-kun is throwing up-"

"Hanagaki! Take a breath. And for fucksake, Ran, Mochi, you're making it worse, stop pulling on his injured hand!" Izana snapped.

The said children backed away, leaving the crumpled bloodied bandage to fall to the ground, Hanagaki clutching the wrist of his injured hand. Izana moved closer until he was only about two feet away and gently grabbed his hand, examining.

"That's really deep, you'll need stitches. I'll wrap it up for now and call my personal doctor to drop by. It'll be quicker than waiting in a hospital waiting room."

"The-there's really no need Kuro-"

"Hanagaki. It's no trouble, I'll feel guilty if I let you leave like that," Izana said.

Hanagaki's mouth opened and closed a few times before he blinked away the tears in his eyes and nodded at his words. Izana knew it was a really bad time considering Hanagaki was injured, but he couldn't ignore how good he looked right now. His eyes teary, his cheeks a blotchy red and his lips wet and puckered out from biting on them. Curse all the gods above, he needs to stop thinking about Hanagaki this way. The guy was 21, and most likely is in a relationship with Tachibana Hinata (or even Tachibana Naoto) and a student who was just looking after his kids for money.

"Ran, go check on Shion. He's probably vomiting from the sight of blood, and Mucho has emetophobia." Izana commanded, Ran nodded, looking concerned over at his brother in the corner before walking out.

"Mochi, take Rindou and Hajime to the theater room and put a happy movie on. I'll check on Kakucho once I'm done here."

And soon, they were alone. Izana still gently holding Hanagaki's hand in his own.

Takemichi's heart was racing, which was a bad thing since he had an open wound. He had been freaking out about the blood, he really did hate it. When he was younger he was indifferent to it, but after seeing Hina's bloodied and bruised body, he couldn't stand the sight of it. But the moment Izana's grabbed his hand, it felt like everything stopped. The blood no longer repulsed him, because all he saw when he looked down was their connected hands. How Izana's rich tan complexation contrasted yet complimented so well his fair skin. How long his fingers were that they could fully wrap around his wrist, how healed old callouses grazed his knuckles. Izana was roughly the same height as him, which he had only just noticed now since they were so close, but the aura, the way Izana presented himself made Takemichi feel so much smaller. No- he couldn't think about Kurokawa Izana this way, this was his boss, someone who was older, someone so powerful, someone who had seven children, someone this handsome. He couldn't. A man like Izana? It'd have to be impossible for him to not have a lover (or several). He was probably just some annoying kid to someone like Izana. And he couldn't help but feel guilty for thinking of Izana like this. Not towards Izana, but to Hina. It had never been in his mind to move on from her, it didn't feel like a possibility.
