New AU Idea?? [A/N]

Okay, hear me out,

Y'know my "Who? [Dreamtale|Halloween Special!]"?

What if that was a Dreamtale AU?

Please tell me if you know of an AU like this that already exists, I don't want to create something that was someone else's idea, especially if they worked really hard on theirs.

I think the name will be Looptale, but I'm not sure, basically Dreamtale is where you go to recover memories and other things. Dream and Nightmare are the Guardians of Nim, who now is the tree of thoughts. You can recover things you've forgotten by getting your soul fixed so you don't forget them again, and you get a small apple that contains those memories.

Here's the catch,

Dream and Nightmare also take memories. You forgot where your pencil went? Thank Nightmare for that! Dunno if you took your medication today? Thanks Dream! Can't remember where your Grandmother is buried? All thanks to the twins!

And they use this their advantage. You saw something you really weren't supposed to? Bam! What body? And who the hell is Jennifer?

Nightmare and Dream in this AU are more neutral characters like Ink and Error than good guy, bad guy. While they are neutral characters, they lean more towards causing mischief, Dreams being more friendly pranks (At least friendly to him, usually someone dies along the way), and Nightmares being more direct making fun of. Usually no one dies in Nightmares case, but they do get their fair share of suffering.

Nightmares fun kind of mischief is making you question if you're really whereas Dreams is more question if the things around you are real if that makes sense. Dream doesn't really mean to make people confused if scared of him, but he does so. Nightmare does. Full-intent.

They do have to kill people occasionally (I'm changing a hit from the story), but not all the time. Dream doesn't do it super often, but more than Nightmare does. Nightmare chooses not to because he thinks it's time consuming and pointless.

As mentioned, Dreams preferred method of killing is via a machete, Nightmares being a small dagger that he carry's with him. Because of the way the world is set up, Nightmares corruption doesn't happen, but he can create illusions to present the idea that happens because of the hate people give him to scare them away.

He basically does topsy-turvy guilt trips. Although the apples cannot corrupt people or give others positive feelings, hate (The tar covering Corrupted Nightmare and the stuff that leaks out of Killers eyes.) can still corrupt others.
