Chapter 3 : Wrong Assumptions

Lei Jian awake from his sleep. He dreams of his past again. It's already the second time he dream of Li Hua. Is it means her soul wants Lei Jian to find her? Well, Lei Jian already found a person that have the same appearance like Li Hua but with a different name. All he need to do is to find out if that was Li Hua which already reborn, or just another person with the same face as Li Hua.

It's already morning. Lei Jian leaving his room to take a walk and while looking around in the town. It somehow looks like a mortal world. He is walking to the book store. While he walks he saw that girl again. Li Qi. She is walking around the street, looking around at every shop. Lei Jian walk closer and greet her.

"Hey." Greet Lei Jian.

Li Qi turn around and look at him.

"You again...? What do you want? Did you follow me here?" Ask Li Qi while she step back.

"Don't worry, we meet by coincidence." Said Lei Jian.

"Then what are you doing here?!" Ask Li Qi again.

"I want to go to the bookstore over there and you?" Ask Lei Jian.

"Alright. Let's separate our way here!" Said Li Qi.

After she said that she gonna leave, she slip by a small rock on the ground and she gonna fall down, but Lei Jian catch her. Their eyes meet for a split of seconds.

"L-Look!! You touch me again!!" Said Li Qi.

Lei Jian quickly let go of his hand and Li Qi fall down on the ground.

"Ouch!!!" Shout Li Qi.

"Sorry.. Let me help you..." Said Lei Jian, giving out his hand to her.

"No! Seriously you bring a bad luck to me. I will leave now. Goodbye." Said Li Qi, after she stand up by herself she left him.

Lei Jian looking at her, chuckles a little and back to the book store. He went inside the book store, searching for a medicinal book and poetry book. After he finished buying the books he is searching for, he go back to the inn. He talks with the inn owner.

"Hey, may I ask something?" Ask Lei Jian to the inn owner who also the receptionist of the inn.

"Sure, what is it?" Ask the inn owner.

"How much do I need to pay if I want to see Li Qi's musical performance?" Ask Lei Jian.

"It's depend on her schedule. Mostly it is 600 Gold in Saturday. Since this is Sunday it can be 1000 Gold." Said the inn owner.

"Alright here is 10.000 Gold. Tell her to perform in room number 65." Said Lei Jian, giving him 10.000 Gold.

"B-But.. She got a performance later at night." Said the inn owner.

"After her performance finished." Said Lei Jian, and he back to his room.

At night.

Li Qi just finished her performance on stage. Then the inn owner come to her and tell her stuff that happen this evening.

"Excuse me Miss. Li Qi, can we talk for a moment." Said the inn owner.

"Sure, what is it?" Ask Li Qi.

"This evening someone come to me and he give me 10.000 Gold, he say he want to see your musical performance in his room, after your performance finished." Said the inn owner.

"What?! 10.000 Gold?! That's a big amount of money!" Said Li Qi, surprised.

"So, what do you think? I don't think it's a good idea to refuse a big amount of money.." Said the inn owner.

"Still.. It's my rest time. I don't think I can go there, especially when it is a guy and it's already night." Said Li Qi.

"But this money.... Then, you give it back to him..." Said the inn owner, giving 10.000 Gold to her.

"Alright, I will give it back to him. Where is his room?" Ask Li Qi.

"He is in room 65." Said the inn owner.

"Okay I will go there." Said Li Qi.

After talking with the inn owner she go to the room 65, right beside her room. She knock the door and no answer. So she open the door and get inside the room. She saw a guy is sitting on a chair, while read a book, with a cup of tea on the table.

"You finally come?" Ask Lei Jian.

"You again?! So it's you who try to invites me here?!" Said Li Qi.

"Yes. It's me." Said Lei Jian.

"Alright, here is your 10.000 Gold! I give it back since I'm not interested with your money! I also won't perform!" Said Li Qi, putting the 10.000 Gold in a pocket on the table, after that she turn around and gonna leave the room.

"Well, how about a cup of tea first before you leave?" Ask Lei Jian.

"No, thanks." Said Li Qi.

She gonna open the door, but Lei Jian already lock it with his power, so the door cannot be opened. He also put a barrier inside his room.

"The door won't open.... this is bad..." Mumble Li Qi.

"What happen over there?" Ask Lei Jian from his seat.

"The door won't open! You did that right?!" Said Li Qi.

"If you want to get out, help me out first." Said Lei Jian.

"Are you kidding? I won't drink those sleeping tea...!" Said Li Qi.

"How do you know I put a sleeping powder inside the tea?" Ask Lei Jian.

Lei Jian walk closer to her. Now he is standing in front of her.

"If you come closer, I will scream...." Said Li Qi.

"No worries, I already put a barrier inside this room, so our voice cannot be heard." Said Lei Jian.

Li Qi pull out a small knife from her clothes.

"Try that, and this sharp knife will kiss your neck and you will die by losing lot of blood." Said Li Qi, putting the small knife on his neck.

"Smart move." Said Lei Jian, he quickly grab her hand and take her knife, and throw it far away.

Li Qi knees fall on the ground. She is now sitting on the floor.

"I don't know what kind of sin I did in my past life, but please spare me." Said Li Qi, bowing to him.

"I don't intend to Hurt you. You are the first one taking out a knife from your clothes. I'm just asking you to help me." Said Lei Jian.

"But I'm not a prostitute here. I cannot help you..." Said Li Qi.

"Not that one. I'm here to find out about someone's existence. That's why I need your help." Said Lei Jian.

"S-Sure.. How can I help you...?" Ask Li Qi.

Lei Jian Kneel down with one knee. He quickly hit her pulse point in her neck, and she fainted. He put her on the bed, then take out the stone that the master give him, and put it on the middle between her collarbone. The stone didn't glow. It means, she is not the reincarnation of Li Hua.

"How can... her voice, her appearance, even her laugh is the same as Li Hua. Impossible..." Said Lei Jian.
