What Happened?

Was it something I said?

Something I did?

Is that what made you leave me?

Or was it something I didn't say,

Something I didn't do,

That caused your change of heart?

Why won't you tell me?

I don't want to make

The same mistake twice.

Please, just let me know,

So that if I ever manage

To love someone

As truly and as deeply

As I loved you,

I won't lose them again.

What happened to forever?
