Riley

Taking one look around this room, I couldn't help but wish I had been anywhere else. The upside to this class? I have Thalia, the down side? James and his group of idiots are also in here. Something tells me this school doesn't go by a grade system when setting their classes
"Alright class, We finished reading Pride and Prejudice" Miss Anderson said smiling as she walked around the room
"We are now going to have a small debate about our knowledge of the book. Remember no opinion is wrong." She said awaiting someone to raise their hands
And of course, nobody does.

The entire classroom fell silent for a good couple of minutes until I caught the eye of James who had his smirk on his face before holding up his hand
"James?" Miss Anderson called making him smirk more as I looked over at him
"I think it's all bullshit" He said instantly making me roll my eyes.
Why am I not surprised

"Care to elaborate?" Miss Anderson asked and James happily nodded
"What father sends his daughters forward for any bloke to have their pick up" He asked and I narrowed my eyes at him
"I think your missing the entire point" I said making him look at me with entertainment in his eyes as he leant back in his seat
"Then do correct me Riley" He smirked
" It's not that she was given to him, they both had to move past a lot of obstacles in order to be together" I explained and he nodded before coming back with a rebuttal

"But to what end should you realise that those obstacles are there to show you aren't meant to be with that person?" he asked and I shook my head
"Never, if it's love then there is nothing that should stop you. True love really always be able to fight off any obstacle no matter what it is" I said making his smirk grow
"She wanted his money" He said and I rolled my eyes
"That in itself is one of the biased that you have to overcome in order to see the true meaning behind the book" I said and he smirked again
"What is the true meaning to you Riley?" Miss Anderson asked

"Standing alone in a world like we have today is the same if not worse then it was back then but when you stand by the side of someone who loves you for who you not what your worth, that's when the world starts to seem like a better place. Love is the thing that tends to fuel other aspects in our life that we don't even know is there until it comes around" I said making Miss Anderson smile
I glanced back at James who still sat there smirking but there was a look in his eye that I couldn't quite describe. It's almost as if he was happy?

I walked through the corridors after school, expecting to have Thalia at my locker I was annoyed to find that the newest weight to the side of my locker was in fact James
"Can I help you?" I asked
"So how is standing in the world alone" He asked and I rolled my eyes
"Hate to break it to you, I'm not alone" I said closing my locker, I headed to walk away when James pulled me into an empty classroom
"I told you day one I would get a restraining order, don't tempt me James" I warned him
"You'd miss me too much" He whispered leaning in slightly, I scoffed before peeling out of his grip leaving him by himself in the classroom
"Oh come on Riley, don't act like you don't like this game" He said
"You want to see a game?" I asked and he smirked nodding
"Fine James" I replied going over to his group of friends and grabbing the closest one
"woahh" Hunter growled but before he could say anything else, I quickly pressed me lips against his before turning back to James
"Game on James" I replied leaving both boys in shock.

He wants a game, I'll play but I can promise you now. He won't be winning
