Chapter 3: The Anger

A/N: Ok before I start this chapter I just have to say-aren't the sloths in the picture there so cute or what? :)

When the police arrived 15 minutes later, the men started pulling out formal papers. I looked at the cops nervously wondering what was about to happen. The first thing the police did was make sure no students were allowed in or near the front office during any of this questioning. "Attention all students and teachers please head outside to the track and baseball fields and continue lessons there for the remainder of the day. Any students found inside other than to use the restroom will be given detention." Announced Mr.Jameson over the speakers. " I would like to speak to a Mr. Edward Thomas." Commanded the first officer who's name tag read Daniel Ethan. "

That would be me," answered the first man, Mr.Thomas. He stood up and held out his hand as if to great an old friend.

"Please come with me sir," officer Daniel replied, leaving Mr. Thomas's hand in the air as he walked into the principals office, leaving Mr. Thomas no choice but to follow. I laughed under my breath at the shocked look on Mr. Thomas's face. His face seemed to say " I can't believe he didn't buy the innocent handshake act that was sure to seal my fate as the good guy." Serves you right walking around like you own the dang place. Your so full of your self, Edward I thought to myself.

After officer Daniel finished questioning Mr. Thomas, Daniel escorted him over to the other police officer, Marcus Hill. "Marcus, make sure this one stays in that chair." Daniel ordered pointing at the chair next to the door.

"Yes sir. Right away sir." Marcus answered, immediately handcuffing Mr.Thomas to the chair.

"Now, that leaves you," said Officer Daniel, looking at the second man. The man said nothing only continued to look bored, as if this was simply a minor inconvenience to him. "You are a Mr. Wyatt Evans are you not?" Daniel asked him.

"No, that's the boy." The second man,Wyatt retorted sarcastically.

"Watch it Mr. Evans. I'm trying to be civil with you now." The officer warned, his temper rising.

"Yes, yes I know. Can we just get on with it? I am Wyatt Evans is that what you wanted to hear?" Wyatt snapped, his anger rising.

The police officer smiled, a very sarcastic smile, "yes, that is exactly what I wanted to hear. Now get up, your coming with me for questioning."

"No."

"No? You refuse to comply?"

"That is correct. And I will say nothing more on the matter until I have a lawyer present."

"Call your lawyer then. We have all day anyway tell him to get down here now." Officer Daniel told him.

"I wish to speak with him over the phone now, in private if you please." Wyatt smiled sweetly.

"Okay you have five minutes. Nothing more nothing less. When those five minutes are up I am coming back in here and you better be off that phone call." Daniel ordered, beckoning to Marcus to take Edward (Mr.Thomas) into the principals office. Marcus complied and again, handcuffed Edward to the chair. " Sam, please follow Mr.Mendoza into his office." Officer Daniel told me kindly.

I had forgotten the principal was there at all, he had been so quiet the entire time."Yes sir." I replied quickly, following the principal into his office, the officer right behind us.

"I instructed your secretary to go outside with the students and teachers. We don't need more people knowing about this than necessary, so I told him to keep this information to himself." Officer Daniel told Mr. Mendoza.

"O-of course, thank you for doing that. I had forgotten to do that." Mr. Mendoza stuttered, completely overwhelmed with the events of today.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Gunshots! Oh. My. God. I stared to panic. "Everyone stay in here. Marcus with me now!" Daniel ordered.

"Yes sir, coming." Marcus replied as he walked around Edward's chair towards the door. Both officers walked out of the office and into the lobby they both stopped when they saw the door. Wyatt had escaped.

"He shot the door lock and just ran out the front. He didn't even make an attempt to him himself from the.p cameras he just...ran." Marcus explained to us five minutes later. Officer Daniel, was unable to explain, he looks like he's gonna explode from anger I thought cautiously.
