A/N: hi guys! Sry for the late update but I'm alive!
Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it! And happy holidays to those of you who don't! Winter break has come yayyyyyyyyyy
Anyways on with the story!*Halle's POV*
"HALLE!!" He yelled when he saw me.
I ran over to him," hey are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine... Mr. Mendoza- he's dead."
"W-what? How??" I asked him, shock about to take over.
"A bunch of the ceiling fell down on him-I couldn't do anything to stop it." Sam replied, tears in his eyes about to fall.
Okay think of something you gotta keep his mind off of this for now, I told myself. "Oh my god! Was my dad in there? Did he do this?"
"What? No some cop did this. He kinda- I don't know... exploded? It sounds crazy but it's true he got so pissed that he just lost it." Sam replied, he was very confused.
"What was the officer's name, Sam?" I asked him.
"Officer Daniel. Why?" Sam questions curiously.
I felt my face pale, "That was my dad."
"What? No way your dad's name is Paul not Daniel." Sam laughed.
"He's an undercover cop, Sam. He's been trying to keep a low profile on the whole "powers" thing so he decided to work with the police force to keep me off their radar." I explained quietly to him. "Honestly I don't know how you didn't recognize him you see him what everyday?" I laughed
Sam took a moment to take this in, " He didn't even act like he knew me. It was as if I was just another stupid kid that had done something to waste his time."
"He had to, Sam. He can't risk his job." I said defensively. " Oh while you were trapped in the office, The Oracle came to me. Yeah... I have something to fill you in on." I added as I launched into a summary of what had happened.
"Okay let me get this straight. You're supposed to contact some weird lady who may or may not be The Oracle in two days. And you may or may not be allowed to talk to me or see me ever again." Sam said, " and to answer your previous question it's every other day and my bad that I just didn't recognize him in his fancy disguise." He rolled his eyes
I laughed at the later, to the former I replied, "Yup pretty much. honestly, it sounds like something that would happen in a movie."
"Yeah except it's real life and it sucks." He laughed
"Then why ya laughing if it sucks so much huh?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.
"Because I think life's about to get a lot more interesting, Halle." Sam replied
"Welcome to the club, my friend. It's only downhill from here." I answered.
Just when I finished speaking, out of the school building walked my father.———————————————————————
*Sam's POV*
"DAD!" Halles yelled, as she ran towards Officer Daniel, or known more as Paul, Halles father.
"Hey kid. How was your day?" He laughed
"Haha very funny," Halle replied, punching him lighting in the arm.
I watched as her father pulled her in for a hug, me just standing there awkwardly. I wish I had parents who cared. Even if it was just one it would be better than nothing, I thought sadly. Paul looked over at me, " C'mere kid." He waved me over and I was pulled into the best hug I've had in a long time.
"So, question, are we just gonna ignore this chaos around us and go home or..?" Halle asked, laughing.
"Well I suppose we could do something about it. My fellow officer, Marcus, fled the minute I lost it so yeah... he's probably gonna get fired." Paul laughed.
I chuckled lightly, "now that, would be a very funny thing to see."
"I agree my boy, that would be a funny sight. Now! Lets do something about all this." Paul replied, waving a hand at the school.
"This is gonna be fun." Halle smiled.
Paul stopped his left foot twice, and the ground started to shake. "Hey Sam might wanna move buddy." He said, two seconds before the ground opened up. Halle snapped her fingers and all of the rubble that she had moved earlier, fell right into the hole in the ground.
"I'm gonna wash the rest of it in!" Shouted Halle
"Okay!" Paul and I yelled back.
A sudden blast of water hit the school out of nowhere, pulling out all of the debris and washing it all into the opening in the ground.
"Close it!"Halle yelled to their father.
"On it!" Paul yelled back as he stomped his right foot twice to close the ground.
"It's a good thing that its the middle of class right now," I said, "no one is around to see what you two just did."
"Yeah that was total luck..." Halle trailed off, looking at the school building. I turned to see what she was looking at, or more importantly who they were looking at.
"We're not alone, are we?" Paul whispered behind us.
"No." I replied. Standing in the doorway, was none other than Harper Aiden.
