A/N: This is me everyday all day lol
"Heyyyy Harper...." Sam said casually
"I'm gonna pretend I did not just see what I clearly just saw..." Harper said looking between my father and I.
"Yeah that's probably best." I replied, nodding my head.
"Can I ask...?" Harper asked hesitantly.
"It's probably safer if you don't" My father told her.
"Right. Got it. I'm just- I'm just gonna go." She said and with that she took off.
"She's not gonna tell anyone right?"Sam asked me.
"No she won't tell anyone. She's no fool." I replied calmly.
"Good because I don't need any blood on my hands." My father laughed.
"Very funny. We should get outta here before someone else finds us." I said switching into high alert.
"Your right let's get outta here." Sam replied
"Treehouse?" I asked
"Treehouse." He nodded
"Follow us dad. We know a place we'll be safe to stay at for a while until this whole thing blows over." I told my father, walking towards my car.
Once we were all in the car I started driving. It took eight and a half hours for us to get to the location. We had gone through two different states Kentucky and Indiana to get to Ohio. After we got off the interstate we still had to drive thirty minutes to get to the offroads which would take us directly to The Treehouse.
--------------------------------------------------
"This is where we're staying?" My father said raising his eyebrow in disapproval
I laughed, "trust me, this is better than it looks."
"It better be otherwise I'm taking you to my safe house." He grumbled
Sam chuckled softly, "there is no place safer than this. Trust us on this you'll love it when you get inside."
Sure enough, the second I unlocked The Treehouse, using voice activation, my father walked right in and was pleasantly surprised. "Now this I could get used to. How did you two find this?" Dad asked me curiously.
"We didn't find it." I stated, "we built it." We were now standing in the entryway, and a fire had lit in the fireplace the second I spoke. "I'd give you a tour but I suspect that rest and food would be a good option first. Bedrooms are located that way." I said, pointing at the right hallway that led away from the entrance.
"Kitchen is that way along with the washrooms. We'll show you the rest when you wake up." Sam added, for it was about three in the morning.
"This is incredible. When did you have the time? This must have taken so long." He replied.
"Well, after we got the blueprints finished we may or may not have gotten help building this while we were away. All the materials were brought here by Halle, of course." Sam explained, sitting down in an armchair next to the fire.
I copied him and sat on the couch across from him. I then motioned for my father to do the same."The blueprints themselves took months of planning for every little detail. I knew this would be used as a safe house one day so I made sure it had everything we could ever possibly need. Sam helped with most of the actual design of The Treehouse he's always been a better artist than me afterall." I told him, trying to help Sam explain.
"This place is a masterpiece! I am so proud of both of you. Your creativity is extraordinary." My dad replied, still completely in awe of the structure that stood before him.
"Thank you sir." Sam said humbly.
"Alright both of you get to bed we have things to discuss tomorrow." My father said, standing to go to his room of choice.
"Good night then," I called to him as he walked away.
"Good night, Halle."
"Sam go to your room and sleep you lump." I laughed as he curled up into the chair.
"Fineeeee," He whined. "G'night Halle."
"Night Sam now get to bed." I said, pushing him towards his room.
"Alright! Alright! I'm going! Don't gotta push me." He laughed lightly.
"GOOD NIGHT SAM." I whisper-yelled.
"GOOD NIGHT HALLE." He whisper-yelled back. We both started laughing as we headed to our rooms and parted ways.
I walked into my room, shut the door, and immediately collapsed on my bed. I don't think I've ever fallen asleep that fast because when I say the second my head it the pillow I fell asleep,I mean just that. I was ripped away from reality and tossed into a deep, dreamless sleep. Dreamless, that is, until it wasn't.
