Chapter 12

Kyoko:

I sighed and went inside my classroom.

"Good morning, Kyoko-chan!" Yui-san greeted me.

"Good morning."

"What's wrong? You look troubled." I sighed again when I remembered that I'm not in the same class as Kyo. "Kyo is-!"

"Oh Kyo! Good morning!" Eh?

"Good morning too, Kisara-san." Kyo greeted back.

"W-What are you doing here?!" I yelled and got everyone's attention.

"What do you mean? I'm here to attend class, right?" He answered not knowing his situation. I facepalmed.

"Come with me." I grabbed him by the collar and drag him outside the classroom.

"Wait! I'm coming with you!" Yui catched up with us.

I stopped in front of the bulletin board. "Look for your name." I said to Kyo and he scanned his name.

"Class 1-A Kyo Kuro." He read aloud.

"And mine?" Again he scanned the board.

"Class 1-C Kyoko Nadeshiko." He stopped for a moment.

"That's right, we're not in the same class." I cut his mind off.

"Eh?!" Yui yelled in shock.

"Why are you shock than us?" I asked her, my ears ringing from her yell.

"That's because, you see, I thought that you two are gonna stick forever..."

I sigh. "Well there's nothing we can do. Sorry Kyo."

"It's okay, Kyoko." He smiled at me.

"Students please proceed in the gym right now. The opening ceremony will start in 5 minutes." The teacher broadcasted.

"Well, let's go." I held Kyo's hands and lead him to the gym...

The opening ceremony was normal. A message from the principal, school's president, and freshmen representative.

"Kyo, let's go. Let me take you to your room."

"Sorry Kyoko, I need to go to the bathroom." Kyo said and I look at him.

"Sure. I'll go with you."

"N-No! A girl shouldn't enter men's bathroom!"

I processed what he said and I blushed. "T-That's not what I meant! What I mean to say is I can lead you to the men's bathroom without getting lost!"

I heard him laugh. "I was just kidding Kyoko." Then he patted my head. "I can manage myself, you can go on ahead."

"But-!"

"I won't get lost. Don't worry." He pushed me and then ran off.

Kyo:

I felt sad when I discovered that Kyoko and I aren't in the same class. But there was another feeling. Frustration. I felt frustrated that Johnny and Kyoko are in the same class. I felt my chest ache. I wonder what this feeling is.

Instead of getting frustrated, I let it pass by and thought of a way to be in Kyoko's class.

[Flashback]

"Kyo, if you're having trouble at the human world... Find this man. He's a principal at North High, he's your mother's cousin. In other words, your uncle."

I look at the picture that father gave me. "Just tell him that Mi-chan is okay..."

[End of flashback]

And now I am finding the principal's office and I will talk to him. I lied about going to the bathroom. I don't want to bother Kyoko, and this is my problem.

I stopped for a moment. I am lost. I should ask the other students... I looked around and found a girl.

"Um, excuse me but do you know where the principal's office is?" I asked her.

"Oh! Y-You go to the top floor and should find a big door, that's where the principal's office is." She answered while blushing. Does she have a fever?

I smiled and thanked her. "Thank you." I ran to the top floor and found the big door. Good thing, cats run fast and has good stamina. If I was a human I think I'll be sweating and breathing hard right now.

I adjust myself and knocked the door.

"Come in."

I entered the room and found a man between his 20's...

"May I help you?"

"Yes, I am Kyo from class 1-A, son of Krad and Mizumi." He stood up and looked at me.

"So you are Mizumi's son..." He sighed and massaged the bridge of his nose. "That bastard Krad... Why are you here? Did that bastard left you and your mother? Where's Mizumi? Is she okay?"

"I am here to ask for your help. No, my father did not left us. And yes, mother is fine." I answered all of his question.

"I see..." He sighed. "So how can I help you?"

"I want to be in class 1-C."

"Why? Give me a reason." He walked in front of me and looked at me seriously.

Should I tell him the reason? No, I shouldn't tell him. "I would like to keep my reasons, Mr. Amano."

He stared at me for seconds and walked away. "Just tell class 1-C's homeroom teacher that I agreed on transferring you there."

I bowed and thanked him. "Thank you, Mr. Amano."

"Wait..."

"Yes?"

"Call me Uncle Ryu." I smiled.

"Of course, Uncle Ryu."
