Chapter 3

Kyoko:

Today's the day I will graduate from middle school. I wore my school uniform and put on the pin representing the graduates.

"Yosh!"

I heard my phone rings and saw my mom's name flash on the screen. I think they're here in Japan.

I accepted the call, "Hello mom? Are you-"

"I'm sorry Kyoko..."

"Eh?" Wait, why is mom apologizing?

"M-Mom, what do you mean?"

"We can't come..."

This can't be... "B-But why?"

"Work's been flowing here... We have business to attend to."

'Ma'am the investors are here.'

"Ok. I'm really sorry Kyoko. We'll make it up to you."

I pretended to be okay, "No it's okay... Just take care there mom and please say 'Hi' to dad for me." I ended the call...

I wipe the tears on my face... I saw my horrible face at the mirror.

"Wow~ I look terrible." I sniffed. "I should wash my face."

After washing, I adjust myself again... "I just have to attend it by myself and go home."

I took my bag and went off to school...

~Graduation Ceremony~

I didn't really listen to the principal's message... I was just spacing out the whole time... After the ceremony, everyone made a little group talks. I saw the others smiling with their parents. My parents didn't really come. I gripped my bag. This is really frustrating.

"Oi Sadako."

"What do you want, Johnny?" I was not in the mood to entertain his insults...

"Where's your parents?"

"They can't come. And why are you talking to me, why don't you go to your friends?" I was giving him the cold shoulders... And why would I act friendly to those who make fun of me. That's just stupid.

"We're having an after party. Will you come?" I just glared at him. Is he kidding me? Why would I join them?

"Ok ok... My friends, your classmates, wants to apologize of all the bullying thingy..."

"Huh? You must be kidding me..." This is outrageous.

"I'm not." I was surprised he has a serious look. But that won't make me agree. Instead I put on my serious face too. "Please come. I'm asking you." Then he formally bowed in front of everyone. Wait what?

"No." I have a stern look.

"What?! We're asking you nicely!" He was now raising his voice.

"So now after the graduation, you're acting nicely? Stop it! You're all being unfair! Why would I go with you?! After all what you've done to me!" Everyone heard what I said and they just avert their gazes. I hissed.

"That's why we're apologizing! You brat!"

"What did yoiu just said?!"

"I said you're a brat!"

"What did you say you blonde-boy!?" Now he's pissed off. Wow~ it feels good, expressing what I feel. Then someone tapped my shoulder. I saw Kisara-san. Tch! This girl...

"U-Ummm Kyoko-san, I really am sorry for everything." She bowed.

"Huh?! Why did you think I would accept your apology?!"

"E-Eh?"

Then everyone kept bothering me to come with them and accept their apology. In the end, I agreed. "Ok fine! Don't bother with me after this!"

"Yoshaa!" Everyone was delighted. But still, my parents isn't here with me...
