SCOTT, ANNALISE, AND STILES have been staking out Derek's house for hours. They have been sitting in the jeep laying low, playing I spy to pass the time.
At around two in the morning, Anna is on watch while Scott and Stiles are falling asleep in the back seats.
"I spy, one psychotic wolf boy leaving his house," Anna says, being the first to notice Derek get in his car.
The two boys immediately sit up to see Derek turn on his car and drive away.
Seeing their opportunity, the trio hops out of the jeep and walks towards the spot Scott had found just a few hours earlier.
"I don't get it, where do you go at two in the freaking morning?" Stiles asks.
"Maybe he got a late-night craving," Scott suggests.
"Ya. To eat someone," Stiles says.
Scott is horrified by the suggestion, "Let's hope not."
"Maybe, it's just a late-night booty call or something," Anna suggests, causing the two boys to give her a look.
"What?" she asks, "It's a thing. I bet a murder can still get some."
Stiles laughs at Anna's comment.
Scott pauses at the dug-up ground, it smells different than when he was here last.
"Wait, something's different," he says.
"Different how?" Annalise asks.
"I don't know. Let's just get this over with," Scott says as he begins digging, Stiles joining in a moment later.
Having only had two shovels, Anna takes a seat against a tree while the boys begin to dig. About 10 minutes later, she can see they are getting tired.
"Here let me take a turn Stilinski," she says, standing up to take over for the boy.
"Wow, you don't even offer to switch with me?" Scott asks sarcastically as Anna walks over.
"I would but Stiles doesn't have super wolf strength like you."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," Scott says, continuing to dig as Anna takes the shovel from Stiles.
"Thanks, Annie," he says, walking over to sit where Anna had been sitting before.
"Uh-uh. Go sit on that side over there," Anna says, pointing to a spot where Scott's back will be to Stiles as the two work.
"Why?" Stiles asks.
"Because," Anna explains, "I am still in my skirt. I know you are a gentleman and what not but I'd rather you not sit behind me while I'm bending over digging."
Stiles sigh in exasperation, walking over to the other side. Scott and Annalise continue digging.
Another ten minutes later, Scott is beginning to get nervous.
"This is taking way too long."
"Let's just keep digging," Anna says.
"What if he comes back?"
"Then we get the hell out of here," Stiles answers Scott.
"But, what if he catches us?" Scott asks.
"I have a plan for that," Anna answers.
"Which is?" Stiles questions.
"We all run in different directions as fast as we can," Anna explains between digs, "Whoever he catches, too bad."
