"I TOLD YOU, I TOOK CARE OF IT," a woman shouts at the man sitting across the room from her.
"Yes, but I asked if you are sure it will work?" the man asks again, matching the woman's volume.
The women doesn't responds for a moment, busy packing up as much of her stuff as she can, her daughter and husband would be home soon.
"Yes," she responds. "I have been picking little fights the past few weeks. Plus, he doesn't even know about this world or your plan, he wouldn't have any reason to suspect a thing."
"And your daughter?" the man in sunglasses questions, using his walking stick to go stand over the woman.
"She will be like you, and like your mother-in-law. That could be a powerful combination, she may be a problem in the future, and you know my solution to problems."
"I haven't told her a thing." the woman snaps as she walks away to the kitchen, knowing what the blind man is insinuating, "And her Grandma knew nothing of what she really was. We will be on the west coast, she won't learn or sense a thing from here,"
"Plus," the woman adds on, "I will leave her this."
The woman places her locket on the kitchen counter, next to the letters she already wrote.
"A necklace?" the blind man questions, having heard the unclasping of a necklace.
"Yes, if she ever does find out about her skills, this will let me know." the lady explains, "It is a talisman of sorts, but no one she knows will be able to teach that to her. She won't know how to use it so I can use it against her. I can also use it to find her if she ever poses a problem for us."
"Good," the man concedes, "Are you ready to leave yet?"
"Almost, I'll meet you in the car."
As the blind alpha walks away, the woman takes one last look at her house.
"Goodbye Annie, bye John. This is for the best," she whispers before she walks out.
