'Calm Before The Storm' || An Adele Story

"I saw a friend of mine in the crowd and she invited me to a party" y/n casually brings up "how would you like to join me?"

Adele stops for a moment to think, this could either go horribly or they could have a fun time

    "How many people are going to be in attendance?"

    "approximately 150" Y/n responds "if it makes you feel any better this party is unplugged and the only pictures and videos taken are by the professional photographers"

It takes some time for Adele to make a decision, she wasn't nervous about being seen or anything like that. What if people took this outing and twisted the meaning of it? I mean they wouldn't see this until the photographer released the pictures of the party back to the family

    "We should go and enjoy some time to ourselves" Adele says as she stands and walks to the rack where she has her dresses hung up

    "luckily I packed my suit"

    "Liam I'm Kidnapping your boss for some time"

    "I'll be fine" Adele's motions for Liam to follow "I won't need you in my shadow so if you'd like to wait in the car or go for a drive it'll be alright"

They all get going to the car where y/n manages to convince Liam to let her drive

    "Please don't get us killed" Liam says as he buckles in with both seatbelts in the back

    "I haven't gotten myself killed, if that makes you feel any safer"

On the way there y/n got a call, because of course she did

-phone call-
Ava- y/n! Babe are you on your way?
Y- yeah I am, so I have someone with me. Security is taking phones right?
Ava- you know it.
Y- I'm on my way!
Ava- who's with you?
Y- Adele and her security.
Ava- you fucking liar. Just get here.
Y- okay
-ends call-

The car ride was mostly silent, as always. Nobody complained they just enjoyed it. When they we're getting closer to the destination they quickly discussed an emergency plan just in case

Finally they entered the building and Adele took y/n's hand in her, an anxiety soothing habit. Y/n introduced Adele to the birthday girl, not that she needed an introduction and then together, still hand in hand they made their way to a table.
