Ode to a Library

The library is quiet except for a few things:

The paper is rustling,

The people are bustling.

The books are out,

The mice are en route.

The computers are buzzing,

The lights are spuzzing.

The floors are creaking,

The faucet might be leaking.

The library is still a lovely place

With books about animals and of space.

Areas for children with lots of books and games,

Organized by dewey decimal and not by names.

A place to study,

A place to read,

A place for your buddy,

A place to breathe.

Put on your shoes, tie the laces,

Go to the library of all places.
