All the Libraries

There were many libraries I could go to,

Downtown, Nokomis, Roosevelt and East Lake.

There were books for me and books for you,

Books so funny I'd giggle and shake.

My parents took me there when I was young,

Walking or biking, rain or shine.

We'd go after school and stay until the setting sun

And I'd grab all the books, saying they're mine.

My favorites were about animals and dinos,

Learning about T-Rex and the black rhinos.

If I was lucky the books had tapes,

So I could listen while I eat grapes.

I learned about space, history, cats, and fairies,

So thank god for all the libraries.
