Chapter 19 - Bearer of bad news

*Third person POV*

Wilbur went to find Claire but someone stopped him by grabbing his shoulder. "Prince Wilbur! I'm sorry but your father requested you to spend the day with princess Evangeline," the guard said.

Wilbur let out an angry huff before making his way back to the throne room. When he got there Evangeline ran up to him and dragged him out of the room.

"Sooo~ Wilbur~ can you lead us to the garden?" She asked, in her annoying voice.

"Yup." Wilbur replied, sourly. He took her to the garden and she blabbed about her amazing life in the Golden kingdom. (Where she's from)

Apparently her kingdom is the RichESt kingdom ever! Because they live in a gold infested area. She also mentioned that she could turn her skin to gold so she's PRiceLeSs.

Wilbur couldn't stand her and her ego. She just wouldn't shut the fuck up. Wilbur's eyes began to get sore from how much he was rolling them.

"You know my name means 'Bearer of good news'?" Evangeline said, flipping her hair.

"Yeah well you weren't at all good news to me..." Wilbur said under his breath.

"Sorry?" Evangeline said, not quite hearing what Wilbur said.

He didn't think he said that out loud was lucky she didn't hear, even though he wanted to say it straight to her face. The two continued to walk together much to Wilbur's annoyance.

Evangeline then suddenly came to a h\alt turning to Wilbur. "You know as my fiancée you should talk to me at least a little bit," She said, putting her hand on her hip sassily.

Wilbur just rolled his eyes and Evangeline scoffed. "You're lucky you're cute otherwise I would be out of here!" she said, waving her hand dramatically

"So if I bash my face against a wall would you leave me? Because I would do it if that's all it takes," Wilbur said and Evangeline let out a noise of offence.

"Ah! You have some nerve! I'll have you know there is more to you than your looks," Evangeline said, still really offended.

"Oh really? like what?" Wilbur said, beginning to snap.

"You come from one of the four elemental kingdoms! Everyone wants you!" She said, before realizing she basically just said 'I'm marrying you for your money'.

"I see. You're like every other spoiled brat out there. Only for the money and power," Wilbur said, turning around to leave but Evangeline grabbed him.

She wrapped her arms around his waist and looked up at him innocently. "Oh babe~ I'm not~" Evangeline said, blinking up at him trying to be cute but Wilbur saw right through her lies.

"Let. Me go."

"Hehe, nooo~" She said, tightening her grip. "Come on babe~"

*Claire's POV*

I had dealt with the problem in the west wing. I started to look around the castle for Wilbur. So far I had gone everywhere I could think he might be, the music room, the royal painting room, but he wasn't anywhere to be found.

I then remembered the garden. Ah! That's where he'll be! I thought, making my way to the garden. When I got there I saw him with another girl. By her clothes I could tell she was royal.

"Huh?"

She had her arms wrapped around his waist and was looking up at Wilbur. He was looking down at her as well. I couldn't help but feel a little hurt by this.

I decided to get closer so I could hear what they were saying. As soon as I got close enough I heard the women say something.

"Come on babe~" Was all I got to hear. What happened next made my heart shatter. They kissed....
