"It will look cute if you take the bun down." He suggested standing behind me in the mirror.

"Oh yeah. That works too." I said sarcastically. "Did you even pack my straighteners?"

"Nope." My hair isn't naturally straight against the popular belief. I inherited more of my fathers Indian, so I have thick, jet black, curly locks that I straighten once every blue moon. It's the reason I wear the bun every day. My mom hates anything other than straight hair.

"My hair is curly."

"Itll be fine." I turned to him and gave him a pointed look before pulling the elastic out and unleashed the beast.

"I love you even more now." He mumbled at the door.

I turned to him with a smile playing on my lips. "Why?"

He didn't answer.  "I wish you could've met him. You two act alike in so many ways. It's...refreshing." I swelled at him.

"He sounds amazing if he was anything like me."

"He was better at being a boy." He admitted. "But you're a pretty amazing girl."

"Oh my god!" I shrieked looking out in front of me.

"He's just a pirate." He grumbled at my reaction. I must admit I hadn't seen River jealous and it was honestly adorable. I loved it on him.

"He's just delectable." I retorted. Captain Jack Sparrow was the definition of R.I.P ovaries.

"Come on. You're doing it on purpose." He groaned wrapping his arms around me from behind. I laughed at his reaction but nonetheless turned looking up at him in innocence.

"Doing what?" I batted my eyelashes.

"You're manipulative Joe Mitchell."

"I am a Mitchell." I smirked back taking a picture.

"I see you like the camera." He said craning his neck to look at me. I followed his eyes and nodded smiling.

"I love it. Thank you." I said honestly.

River Dallas

I looked down at the beautiful girl standing in front of me. She was so much different than she had been when I saw her on those stone steps the first day. She had learned to escape from the shadows she had his herself in and she was now maturing into a beautiful, strong woman who had my heart tangled in her own embrace.
She watched in awe at the Disney parade I had seen three times already. But I wouldn't dare rain on her's. I never realized the weak front she put up was just a distraction to keep people from prying. Jolie Mitchell was the Apple of my eye.

The fire works went off and I felt her small hand intertwining with my own. I decided now was time. I started walking briskly as my nerves took over. I walked up to our suite, the princess suite and opened the door smiling as I walked on to the balcony.

"Oh my god." She breathed. The sight was amazing. You could see the entire park from here. It was the best view in the park. "Thank you for this." She said smiling like a kid on Christmas. I had never seen her smile for so long and it made me weak in the knees to know I was responsible for it.

"This is only the beginning." I replied smirking. She opened her mouth to retort but I cut her off.

"I would have never thought we would be here. I never thought I'd ever trust someone again." Her eyes widened a fraction of a bit and I'm pretty sure just anyone wouldn't have noticed. She held on to my every word not only listening with her ears but her entire being.

"After Justin, my life goal was to ruin my mother's life. I'm serious. I thought she deserved to suffer, until you showed me another away." I felt my eyes wetting and my nose burn as I thought of my fallen friend.

"You're my best friend Joey." I said watching as her mouth slightly opened. I didn't even fight it as a tear escaped my eye, her hand reached forward and swiped it and against myself, I didn't snap at her or resent her for seeing me so vulnerable.

"I love you and I can't stand seeing you and kissing you every day without you knowing you are mine, and mine only. I won't ever share you Jolie." I pulled out the velvet box and she gave me a warning look as she opened her mouth to argue.

"I'm not proposing." I said quickly. "Yet..." I mumbled. She laughed.

"I want you. So will you be my girlfriend and make me the happiest guy alive?" I asked nervously watching her reaction. I had put myself on the line and every millisecond it took her to answer made me wanna skip off this beautiful balcony.

"Of course I will." she fluttered looking at me through the gaps of her eyelashes.

"Great. I don't know how I would've controled my emotions if you'd said no."

"I could never tell you no." she answer smug.

I returned her look, "Can I make love to you tonight?" I teased waiting for her obvious answer.

She paused looking at me surprised. She nodded, "Yes."
