Loyalty makes you family.
"Alright." Glenn whispered to himself as he kneeled on the floor, his eyes searching the drawn chalk map on the hard, concrete floor. "Now you said you found Tyreese's group here?"
"Yeah." The little boy in a sheriff hat responded.
"We secured this."
"Well, he thought he came through here." The boy pointed to a little chalk square.
Glenn sighed. "Means there's another breach. Okay. If the tombs are filled with walkers strolling around, then it's gonna be cake for a group of armed men."
"Why are we even so sure he's gonna attack?" The youngest Greene asked. Even as she saw the world falling before her eyes, the girl never seemed to lose hope.
"He had fish tanks with heads. Humans and walkers. He's coming." Michonne snarled at the thought of him.
"We should hit him now. He won't be expecting it. We sneak back in and we put a bullet in his head."
"We're not assassins." Smith intervened but Glenn ignored her statement, walking up to woman with the sword.
"You know where his apartment is. You and I could end this tonight. I'll do it myself."
Michonne nodded, her eyes narrowed. Glenn backed away, content with her response but Smith spoke up again.
"He didn't know we were coming last time and look what happened. You were almost killed and both you and Maggie were almost executed."
"And Daryl was captured." Carol added.
Smith was looking to avoid that. Talking about him... Mentioning him... It was a point that would support her argument but she didn't want to remind herself and the fact that he wasn't there anymore.
"You can't stop me." Glenn said.
"Rick wouldn't allow this."
"You really think he's in any position to make that choice?"
"He isn't right now but you know damn well what he'd say to that. Think this through clearly. T-Dog lost his life here. Lori, too. The men that were here. It isn't worth anymore killing. What are we waiting for if he's really on his way? We should be out of here by now."
"So your choice is to duck out?"
"Any choice is better than war. Than killing, than murder, than screams and suffering."
"And where would we live? We fought hard for this prison, Rick wouldn't want us to run away either."
"On the road. We made it through all winter."
"That was when Hershel had two legs and we didn't have a baby crying every four hours."
"We can't stay."
"We can't run."Maggie.
Smith could only wonder what tortures she had been submitted to to be in a state like that. She should no injuries whatsoever, so the Smith's only take was that it had been psychological damage. A much more greater type of damage.
Her boots echoed through the cells as she stepped two stairs at a time. Peeking her head, she tried using a soft, calm and quieter voice as she approached the woman.
"Hey." She offered a smile that was left unseen as Maggie lied on the bunk bed, her back turned to the entrance.
Glenn was furious. With himself and the Governor. He hadn't taken the time to talk to his girlfriend. To ask her what had happened. If she was okay, if she needed any help.
As she gained no response, Smith welcomed herself into the tiny space and leaned against the cold, hard wall. She though for a while. She thought about what would be the best approach. She didn't know what the best words to say were. Maybe she didn't need to talk at all. At least for now. Maggie didn't seem to mind the silence so it was like that for a bit before Nova pulled herself away from the wall and sat on the very edge of the bed. She lightly touched Maggie's arm in a manner to show comfort but the shook it away almost immediatly.
Smith pulled her hand back as her eyebrows frowned. What had happened?
"Are you alright?" She asked almost in a whisper. It was definitely not the best approach but Smith saw no other way around at that particular moment. And, as the words escaped her, muffled sobs and cried arose.★
"I- I didn't know he--"
"Yeah, he did. He did the same to you."
"I had to, man. I would've killed him otherwise. Hey, where are you going?"
"Back where I belong!"
"I can't go with you. I tried to kill that black bitch. Damn near killed the Chinese kid."
"He's Korean."
"Whatever. Doesn't matter, man. I just can't go with you."
"You know, I may be the one walking away. But you're the one that's leaving. Again."
