Chloe's in her editor's office and Max says, "Seriously, if there's anything I can ever do..." Chloe says, "Actually, um..." Chloe takes out a CD and continues, "It's just a few stories I've been working on. I would love for you to take a look at them." Max says, "Chloe, I couldn't print your name in the classifieds right now without catching hell." Chloe says, "What about a pseudonym? She's my best friend. She won't mind at all. She'll probably work for the Daily Planet in a few years." Max says, "Liana Lang." Chloe nods with a small smile.

Later, Chloe goes to the Torch and sees the computers gone. Liana says, "Welcome to the "Torch." Unplugged." Chloe says, "Liana, what happened to my computers?" Liana says, "Bunch of deliverymen stopped by this afternoon. LuthorCorp took the computers back." Chloe says, "But they were donated." Liana says, "Yeah, well, I guess Mr. Luthor changed his mind. Oh, yeah, some girl stopped by. Didn't leave a name." Chloe says, "Thanks, Liana." Later, Liana goes to the hospital to visit Adam. They leave his room and Liana says, "Well, I'm glad you're feeling better, Adam." Liana sees Clark and says, "Clark, are you okay? I just heard about the accident." Clark says, "I'm okay. But Chloe's a little scraped up." Liana looks to Adam and says, "Um, Clark, this is Adam." Clark places his hand out and says, "Nice to finally meet you." Adam shakes his hand and says, "So you're Clark. Heard a lot about you." Clark says, "Didn't realize there was that much to say. How'd you get her so quickly?" Liana says, "I was at the Torch and then I came to visit Adam. The accident must have happened right after I left. We just came from upstairs doing Physical Therapy." Clark says, "Is that where you two met?" Adam says, "Yeah, I, I thought I'd see you when you visited Liana, but... I guess you got busy." Clark nods and says, "Looks like we've all been busy." Liana's cell phone beeps and Liana says, "Alright, since Lex gave me this thing it's like no one can change a coffee filter on their own."
