Liana's outside at the hospital when she sees Clark and she says, "Clark. I thought you and your mom could use some moral support and a little sustenance." Clark says, "Thanks, Liana. my mom hasn't eaten all day. I'm sure she'll appreciate it. Um, I'll be back soon." Liana says, "Is everything alright?" Clark says, "Do you know Garrett Davis?" Liana says, "Sure, uh, he and Vince used to come by the Talon." Clark says, "Yeah, well, Vince came down with this rare liver disease and he needed a transplant." Liana says, "I'm guessing from the past tense that he never got it." Clark says, "No, he died yesterday. Then, last night, he showed up at my barn." Liana says, "He came back to life?" Clark says, "He seemed completely fine until he started bleeding from his eyes." Liana says, "I've seen it before... with Adam, I... I found this obituary that said he died five months ago of a rare liver disease." Clark says, "Did you tell anyone?" Liana shakes her head no and Clark says, "Why not?" Liana says, "Adam said if I told anyone, they could be in danger." Clark says, "Where is Adam now?" Liana says, "I don't know. He disappeared. I-I haven't seen him in more than a week." Clark says, "Listen, Vince mentioned he got an injection. Did Adam ever take anything?" Liana nods and says, "Yeah, at first I thought it was because he was a drug addict, but maybe that's what was keeping him alive." Later, Liana's with Mrs. Kent and Mrs. Kent says, "I suppose all we can do now is wait." Liana says, "Mr. Kent's strong. He's gonna fight through this." Then Pete walks over to them and Mrs. Kent smiles and says, "Oh, Pete." Pete says, "I wasn't sure if you guys wanted your space, but at the end of the day, I thought I should be here." Mrs. Kent gives Pete a hug and says, "Oh, I'm so glad you came." Pete says, "Where's Clark?" Mrs. Kent says, "He'll be right back." Pete says, "Okay." Then they hear Garret yell, "Dr. Yeager! Where is Dr. Yeager? I want to speak to Dr. Yeager!" Dr. Yeager walks to Garrett and says, "Just what do you think you're doing?" Garrett says, "My brother needs a liver. So, I figure now you'll get him one." Garrett opens his jacket, and they gasp when they see a bomb strapped to his stomach. Mrs. Kent slowly walks to Garrett and says, "Garrett, this isn't gonna solve anything." Garrett says, "Don't come any closer. If you want anyone to leave this building with their limbs attached, you better make sure my brother gets that transplant." Then everyone's gathered in the waiting room and Mrs. Kent walks over to Garrett and he says, "Mrs. Kent, you're a nice lady. I don't want to hurt you." Mrs. Kent says, "Don't do this, Garrett. It's not what your brother would want." Garrett says, "I know exactly what my brother wanted. A transplant, and to see me graduate high school and I'm gonna make sure he gets both of those even if I have to be locked up when I get that diploma." Then the phone rings and after Garrett gets off the phone, he lets everyone go.
