A spaceborne strike group from the New World Union closes in on its target, which was a universal rift. It resembled a black hole; though it had a sort of luminescent blue accretion disk around it, replacing the regular orange-ish disk. The luminescent disk exterior began to expand and contract in a repeated sequence, with a pulsing pattern emanating out as the strike group approached.
A simultaneous yet soft flash was emitted from all the ships in the group, usually indicating weapons ready and loaded. The central/lead carrier's controller then spoke over comms. "HQ, Typhon-10AC-SG passing through rift."
Contact is lost as the ships pass through the rift; though only temporarily. Communications are restored after a 15 second delay, and the ships' controllers at their bases now begin to describe and send images of what they see.

The emperor and the empress gathered other important heads of government in the room. They sit around a round table; with a 9-sided projection display in the center. The display was showing live footage of what the ships saw; and, as was expected, there wasn't really much. The other universe displayed remarkable similarity to the universe of their origin, being almost completely the same, though with different planets and stars.
The ships had emerged near the edge of a galaxy; with the familiar pinwheel shape's top facing towards them. There were a few other galaxies around, though not in any particularly high density nor concentration. Scans from the ships only counted a total of 20 galaxies within a few septillion miles, with a particularly large amount of supermassive black holes.
A rather dim blue light erupted from the lead carrier, before immediately shutting off in 1/120th of a second. "Looks like we're in the middle of a large void, moving towards galaxy now, over." Spoke the controller of the lead carrier, now known as Juggernaut. "Roger that, Juggernaut. Proceed."
The lead carrier's controller spoke again through comms. "We have located a FTL/H-Class (Friendly To Life/Habitable) planet, moving over now. Requesting caution level." "Caution level 3, proceed at decent pace, prioritize scanning please, over." came the response from high command.
A few minutes later, the ships arrive at the FTL/H planet; revealing many similarities to Earth as they got closer. The planet had green plants, decreased gravity though with increased size, and a 24 hour day and night cycle. After this, the emperor stood and asked anyone to give their thoughts on the situation, and possible strategies as well as generally discuss next steps.
The Supreme Admiral of the NWUSN, Astra "Crystal" S. stands up. She is tall, slightly terrifying in her demeanor--though many do consider her very beautiful--, and is prone to psychopathic tendencies, though it is often shown her cold and calculating side wins over these tendencies, allowing her to serve well as a competent commander. Now, she begins to speak.
